Loving this optimismPerhaps those that haven't gotten it yet will receive 3.4.2, with a hotfix for some of the post-release issues that have popped up?
Just wait. No hurry. I am not wanting ours until the bugs are worked out. Better to be last than first since many of these updates are buggy.I still haven’t received the 3.4.1 update yet. I took possession of my GDE in October. I contacted Lucid Service was told the update would take weeks to roll out to everyone. However, I have reviewed all previous updates in a timely manner.
True.It seems like I've had a couple of things where toggling it off and back on, or on and then back off, fixed the problem. It's like the setting shown on the display doesn't reflect what that setting is actually set to after an update or reboot. Toggling it back and forth forces the setting into one or the other.
You have to get rid of the model X before you receive the update - that way, there's no going back....I still haven’t received the 3.4.1 update yet. I took possession of my GDE in October. I don’t think this update will address the inability to do a hard reboot when the car won’t start (black screens). It has taken 20+ minutes multiple times for us in the 5 weeks we have has the Gravity. San diego service center doesn’t answer the phones and won’t return the voicemails. The customer support line has not worked wither to get this car fixed. Of course that is just one of the myriad of issues. My wife wants to return it. I can only hope the software update will fix things, but I am not holding my breath.I haven’t received mine either. And today my Gravity was a total mess; the worst part was when my car decided to just not work. The screens were black, nothing, not even the reset worked, but at least the climate was on. As soon as I called customer care, the car turned back on, and I was able to drive home. However, it was about 20 frustrating minutes of clicking, resetting, switching, and stuff.
You have no idea how desperate I’m for this update.
Was this the brake+X+microphone reset? Did you hold the combination down for a long time? According to the manual (infotainment -> restarting the pilot panel), holding for 10-15 seconds is a soft reboot with single chime. Holding for 20-25 seconds is a hard reboot with double chime.[…] The screens were black, nothing, not even the reset worked, […]
More like hold for 10-15 minutes, not seconds. I have never had it reboot in seconds. Never any chimes either. Always been several minutes. We have had the “screens blank” issue about once per week and it is very irritating to sit in the car for several minutes hoping that it will eventually reboot. Was this the brake+X+microphone reset? The one time I had to do a hard reboot, I held everything down for what seemed like forever (could have been 1 minute). I don’t remember if I let go after the chimes sounded or if the chimes sounded after I let go.
It could be a timing thing for you for the soft reset. I find that hitting one or two of the buttons a little before all 3 causes it not to work. If after 10 seconds I don’t get the reboot message, I let go and try again. Sometimes it takes 3 or 4 attempts to get it. As for the black screens and nothing working at all, I only had that happen once and holding the buttons for like a minute or two was the only thing I could do to trigger reboot….More like hold for 10-15 minutes, not seconds. Of course, can't say all 3 were pressed at the same instant, but for me, just keep pressure on all 3 will eventually reboot after 5 minutes or longer. It could be a timing thing for you for the soft reset. Damn! That’s not a good look for a brand new Service Center that only opened a few months ago.San diego service center doesn’t answer the phones and won’t return the voicemails.
Live View loads fast for me and consistently with this after trying a few times with both cars (usually the one in the garage fails 70% of the time). Not sure if just coincidence or not but will test more tonight and tomorrowGrab an app update while you wait, iOS
They could have paused the roll out due to the issues where experiencing related to the battery management system.I'm not sure if they paused the rollout. I haven't received it yet and I don't see anymore messages about receiving it today or yesterday !!
Whenever I got black screens and couldn’t reset, the solution was to lock the car and walk 150 ft away for 2-3 minutes for the car to power down.I don’t think this update will address the inability to do a hard reboot when the car won’t start (black screens).
