The App always fails connecting the vehicle, never connected once. Does not provide any clue why connection failed. Did delete the app and reinstalled it, still same issue.
Any suggestion, what is going on?

My wife found the tip that if you remove your home WiFi connections it will fix the issue. I did that an it started working for me. Apparently when away it keeps trying to use you home WiFi connections which of course it cannot find. When I removed those connections it just automatically started using its cellular connection.

For me it works only when both the car and my phone have the Wi-Fi turned off

I think it's an experimental feature, so it's not stable yet.

Unfortunately, Live View still does not work for me with my iPhone iOS but works with my son's Android phone.
Tried first disabling WiFI on Lucid Gavity only, it did not work for my iPhone or for my Son's Android phone.
Later tired disabling WiFi on Lucid Gravity and both Phones, it did not work for my iphone but works for my son's Android phone.

I am hoping, Lucid tech team is listening to this Forum and understanding the GRAVITY of issues raised in this forum and actively working on fixing them on a priority basis. These things can add up very soon.

Live View works now with iPhone when VPN is also disabled in addition to disabling WiFi on Lucid Gravity and iPhone.

Holy cow that did it, disabled VPN on my phone and it worked! Unfortunately my work requires VPN to be turned back on at least once every 7 days :-(

Good Lord! Turn this off. Turn that off. Disable this and that. I bet if you also whack you phone with a mallet and flush it down the toilet, the app would be working flawlessly in the sewer! :-)

Live View has only worked a couple of times for me, regardless of software updates, WiFi, cellular, etc. However, I installed the Lucid app on my iPad and Live View worked while both the car and my iPad were on WiFi. This led me to do some experimenting on my phone and the culprit appears to be Microsoft Defender VPN.

I have an iPhone without Microsoft Defender. Live View has never worked over WiFi (I made sure no VPN). It sometimes works over cellular, but most of the time it doesn’t work with “Connection Failed.”

I just tested this myself. Defender VPN does seem to break live view. But also having my iPhone wifi connected also breaks it.

After the recent 3.4.1 update my live view works on both WiFi and cellular.

Ditto. I have tried it, just to test, about 6 different times and it worked fine each time. Wi-Fi is on in the car and on my phone. For me, it has also worked, albeit somewhat inconsistently, on prior releases with Wi-Fi enabled (weak-to-nonexistent cellular at home). When I have had issues in the past, I found that logging out of the (iOS) app and then back in was an effective workaround.

I’m seeing this, too. Defender and WiFi need to be off for my phone. However, my iPad - which does not have Defender or any other VPN Installed - connects to Live View over WiFi.

Wi-Fi in the car definitely seems to still be broken with 3.14.1. It worked for me for a while for several days of always being available in the app and now it’s back to the car not appearing on demand unless I disable that.

It seems that the car does wake up a couple times a day to check in with the Lucid servers to give an update on battery status, but that’s it. Not sure if that’s doing it via mobile or WiFi.

I want this to be a home router port/firewall problem, but even opening them all up for the car and phone doesn’t seem to help. :/

It sounds to me like a security feature that Live View does work because of VPN

A lot of apps work this way for obvious reasons like someone stealing your session or so

The issue is they did not alert you of why it failed to work

I have an iPhone Air and a Galaxy Flip 7. Live View has never worked for me. I always get the "connection failed" error. I have tried every solution in this thread. All the other Premium features work. Lucid support doesn't seem to know what the problem is. 🤷‍♂️

Personally I think it’s the network stack having trouble routing between the two networks and not staying with one
I’ve seen this on my iPhone 13pro where it claims no network connection but in settings I see a clear connection to WiFi
Spanning multiple networks connections can sometimes be iffy when one gets an almost disconect
