2026 LUCID GRAVITY GT
My sometimes when I exit my 2026 gravity grand touring, as I leave and I placed my left hand on the metal outside of the door near the window. I get a brief electric shock almost like static shock. Has anyone noticed this has happened at least three or four times now

As long as the shock is an extremely short minor zap when you touch the metal, it's almost certainly just static charge. Annoying, but not dangerous. But can also be challenging to stop from occurring. It's almost always a product of environmental factors, and nothing to do with the vehicle's electrical system. There's some chance the shock is a product of static charge building up from your clothing being rubbed across the seat as you slide out of the vehicle. You may find that putting your hand on the metal doorframe before you begin sliding out will cause the problem to disappear. You might find that changing to different clothes prevents the problem. In principle you could change the material the seat is upholstered with, but that's obviously impractical. Typically the problem will be more common in very dry climates. Where are you located?

If you ever experience a shock that continues longer than the brief zap of a static shock, that's an entirely different story, and a major problem that needs a mechanic to take a look at it. But it'd also be very surprising, as the electrical systems of vehicles are designed in such a way that it's difficult to cause a such a shock even if you're trying to make things go wrong.

Get all weather mats. The default floor mats are static shock galore as most cars are.

This has happened since the beginning of automobiles. It is why there are warnings at gas stations to beware of static electricity when exiting your car. Believe it or not, this is not unique to Lucid.

I get this sometimes just touching my clothes or any pieces of metal. It's not limited to cars
