Front ambient lighting while driving?

Yes, it is off while driving. No, there is no way to turn it on. (currently)
I'm pretty sure, but could remember it wrong, that the front ambient was on while driving with my delivery software in June, and was disabled in the first software update.
Just noticed this on my drive home (ON when parked, OFF when driving).
I'd like the option to keep it on while driving.

I had to ask the service tech the same thing. Why wouldn't it stay on? Lots of other cars have their LED strips on all the time and have plenty more. Once you notice that it turns off, it gets annoying, especially for a luxury car.
I'll have to pay attention next time at night and see what the reflections are like from the front strip when parked.
But yeah, it's a shame and another one of the items to add to the list, of why did Lucid decide to do it the way they did?

Yeeesss! That's exactly what I felt; annoyed that it was off.
When parked, I am very happy to see it. So weird.

I had a 2025 Audi Q5 as a loaner recently, which has a light strip in a similar wrap-around fashion at the far edge of the dashboard. The light strip in my particular car, while globally dimmable all the way to off, stayed on while driving at night (I've seen other videos where the dashboard portion is selectively disabled). In my experience, it was unnecessarily distracting to have the dashboard lit while driving. Screen grab from a YouTube video for reference:
