It cracks my native-Californian wife up every time the Navigation says: "Take the San Diego freeway, number four-hundred and five." Californians just call it "The four-oh-five."

And yes, the "The" is required.

As a lifelong California resident I can confirm that both of these are true.
Consider the old school FM Radio traffic reports - NorCal: "accident on 880, slowing on 280", etc..
In SoCal you'd hear: " The 405 is jammed, The 10 is too, take The 60"

- NorCal: "Hwy 1" or "101" along the coast
- SoCal: "Pacific Coast Hwy" (PCH) along the coast (even though The 101 is PCH in parts of San Diego) & generally The 101: through the Valley

It's all Regional dialects!

"Take the one hundred and sixty three freeway north" is one I just got recently here in San Diego that made me laugh.

So here is another "HERE" funny- Drove over to the Tysons SC today to make an appointment (was only 10 miles away so..) and thought I would try the Nav to see how lose it could get the the SC. Turns out all HERE knows about is the Studio in tehe Tyson Shopping and center and only how to get to the shopping center entrance!. HERE had no idea where the SC was, though I could see the one in Chicago and Arizona.
have to agree with other posters- HERA is lame when it comes to the East Coast.

That's why I find it concerning that Lucid is getting into deeper partnerships with them, many of us were hoping for "unconscious uncoupling"

I took the nav system to "Lucid Studio Tysons Galleria" (where the service center is) yesterday. Works fine, though it took me through the parking lot instead of the easy way, the road under the garage off of Tysons Blvd. FWIW, Google Maps has "Lucid Service Center Tysons Galleria" mislabeled as being at the entrance of the mall.

The Natick SC complained about the same thing -- built-in nav directs people to the wrong spot. They didn't know about HERE Map Creator so I sent that over.
