I just installed my snow tires (Blizzaks) on my 2023 Pure AWD. I had purchased some used 19 inch wheels and got the tires from TireRack. The wheel covers from my car only work on one of the four used wheels I purchased. The covers are very loose on the other three wheels.

Thinking I might have damaged them I tried the covers on the wheels that came off the car and they fit tightly. So I'm guessing there are two types of 19 inch wheel?

Yes, there are at least two styles of 19-inch wheels. I have the original style, which has covers that aren’t fully flush with the wheels. In contrast, newer wheels have covers that are more flush. I’m not sure if this makes any aerodynamic difference, but the old style covers have to be removed to fit a tire filler. I actually use a valve extender to fill them.

I wonder where the break is. My car (built October 2023, purchased January 2024) has flush wheel covers. I can barely fill them without removing. I went with OEM wheels to try and get maximum range.

I guess I'll need to buy new lugnuts and a center cap. But even the center cap seems to be different in size, the centers of my covers do not really snap into the replacement wheels.
