What does "In Production" mean?

The dashboard for my GGT with tech package is showing as "In Production" now halfway into the third week (although 2 days the first week were Thanksgiving when I assume the factory was closed.)

What event triggers moving to the next stage, per the dashboard, "Preparing for Delivery?" Is it loading onto the car carrier; arrival at the local center; starting quality checks; something else?

Are there current estimates of production time?

I'm not really sure exactly what it means. My car moved to "in production" in mid-September and has remained "in production" ever since. It seems like many other people have had deliveries around a month after their car moved to "in production". I am in Canada though, which could be part of why mine has been "in production" for so long. Per a press release they started Gravity deliveries in Canada on October 11 but I'm not sure if they are actually being delivered or not.

My GGT took about 2 weeks to go from in production to being delivered in late November. Preparing for Delivery usually means that it has arrived at SC is is going through PDI. I am in Houston, so east coast could add a few days. The bigger issue could be how busy your SC is and their ability to PDI quickly.

I ordered a Gravity Dream Edition on November 29 that I was told was already "factory gated". And I was told that meant it had already passed final inspection and was waiting to be scheduled for shipment.

I called several days ago and was told the car was going on the next truck to leave the factory.

Today it is still showing as "In Production".

Based on the fact that I haven't been invoiced on my prior Lucid orders until just a few days before delivery and the cars have remained in "In Production" status until then, I assume switching the status to "Preparing for Delivery" doesn't happen until the car arrives at the Service Center where it will go through pre-delivery inspection (PDI) and then be prepped for delivery.

My Air was "In Production" on the day it was delivered to me. My guess is that "In Production" doesn't really tell you all that much about where your vehicle is in the production/delivery process. Maybe I'm wrong--and I hope I am--but I don't think the production status updates are reliable indicators of where you vehicle is in the process.

My car showed "Preparing for delivery" while it was still in Casa Grande and waiting to be shipped to the SC for PDI. It's here now, just waiting for PDI to complete so I can actually pick it up. (It's been sitting here for a week even though I was told it would be 3-5 days for PDI to complete)
