Not sure if anyone listened in to this, but Taoufiq Boussaid (CFO) shared some interesting things.

A few notables for me:
  • He said current indicators for Q4 are great and suggested this could be a "good quarter"
  • Midsize still on track for production at the end of 2026, with public reveal set for mid next year. They want to open orders for the midsize simulateously with the reveal, so they're aiming for this to happen between 4 and 6 months before start of production.
  • They're expecting midsize production ramp to take a few years, only achieving full production in 2029
  • Midsize production will initially be in KSA, with US production to follow
  • Nvidia is actually working together with Lucid on its ADAS/AV capabilities, they're not just providing the software stack and hardware
  • The plan is to have complete ADAS/AV hardware built into each midsize vehicle, suggesting a subscription based model similar to Tesla

Well, his chatter has driven the stock up nicely over the past two sessions.

Initial production is in KSA using Chinese battery packs. Vehicle assembly in KSA will allow lower tariffs (under current rules) on the Chinese batteries when the complete vehicle is imported into the US. All this is to help lower vehicle costs.

Being as the Air introduction was hurt by Covid supply chain issues and Gravity introduction was hurt by ever changing tariff rules, I hope this plan is not hurt by unforseen complications.
