- 2024 Lucid Air Pure
Hello all,
I've initiated the lemon law process for my 2024 Lucid Air Pure here in Quebec. I've been towed, stranded, had the vehicle not recognize me or unlock for 30 minutes at a time until a remote reset was done, I lose my GPS and streaming audio almost *every* time I drive until I do a reset. The car was delivered improperly aligned, and needs an alignment at my expense every 6-8 months (because, and I quote, the "car is heavy" - it's lighter than my previous ICE car, which somehow didn't need an alignment twice a year). The windshield cracked on its own due to the heat difference between the cold outside and the blast of burning air from the defroster inside. The handles stay frozen shut, as does the charge port. My plastic trim fell off on its own, and the service manager told me "we'll replace it this time, but only this time - we don't cover the same failure twice even if it's a manufacturer defect". The plastic lightbar at the front has rock chip damage from normal highway driving and the service manager told me "it doesn't matter if it's plastic, rock ships are not wear and tear, you have to pay us $2000 to replace it". Water found its way into the charge port and caused all sorts of crazy behavior, wipers going on their own on dry days, squeaking across the windshield and damaging themselves. The service manager said that I "can't use the frunk in the winter, if it breaks or gets misaligned you have to pay for it - these cars are not meant to be parked outside".
I've already collected a ton of useful info from this forum for people who have had similar problems. Feel free to reach out if you want to share your own experience with Lucid service or if you need anything from me. I'll be documenting my progress on this thread and will also reach out to Transport Canada to let them know the myriad of reasons why these vehicles are unsafe / unusable for Canadian winters and that a recall needs to be initiated. I'm done ****ing around.
