Funny you mention that. I traded in my 2024 Model Y for my Gravity. We never once used the key cards after we took delivery, is was all PaaK. After dropping off the trade in on Friday we got a call Saturday morning that neither key card was still working. They had no way to get into the car at the SC. I had deleted the car from my account so there was nothing I could do and I was no longer the owner so Tesla wasn't going to talk to me. I told them to call Tesla service to send out a mobile tech to get into the car and reprogram the key cards. If you buy a model X today, you get no fob. You can buy one for $350. It’s all PaaK and keycard as backup.
As you said, we need PaaK. But I fear it will have to interact with same whack software causing fob issues, so those must be fixed first.
