Fast charged for the first time on a long road trip from Denver to Huntington Beach. We encountered 3 premature fast charging stops, twice on EA and once on Rivian charger. Length and level of charging were always different. Learned the hard way to watch the Lucid app like a hawk while charging. First time this happened my idle charge was higher than my KW charges. Is there anything I did wrong, or is this common. Do I have to watch the app constantly to make sure charging hasn't been interrupted? In all three instances, after I replugged the charger to start a new session, charging commenced and reached desired charging level without interruptions. I also noticed every time I used a fast charger (charging to 90 - 100%) the first 10% of battery usage only got us 20 miles, 2 miles or less per KW. Is that normal or is there something wrong with my battery. Car preconditioned the battery automatically since I used the Lucid Nav app.

Thanks for the attention

In general, you don't want to DC fast charge beyond about 80% on road trips - it's very slow, so it wastes time. Some stations will automatically terminate your charge at 80% to prevent this kind of misuse.

Other than that, a DC fast charge can terminate early due to compatibility issues with the charging station, or a defect in the charging station or its cable.

It's best to enable charging notifications on your phone app so you get a ping when something goes wrong. I do check mine periodically while road charging.

I would place a call to Lucid Customer Care. Having the charger stop 3 times seems odd to me. Especially on different brand chargers.

I can’t speak to stations outside of the EA network, but I know they have implemented a congestion reduction strategy at many of their stations particularly in CA. Others may have followed suit as well.
