Does anyone know the maximum size of a USB stick that will be recognized by the gravity? I want to be ready with lots of lossless music when my Gravity finally arrives.

NothEv used a 1TB Samsung drive and seems it’s working. I think you don't need more 😜

I guess I wasn't clear. I curious about the USB stick size for the stereo system. I didn't find anything in the manual about that.

he said USB-C? there is no USB-C port in the glovebox, or what am I missing here.

I literally just plugged in an old USB stick I had at home, I think 128gb and it works. probably enough space if you delete old footage from time to time.

There's a USB-C port way in the back left corner of the glove box for the Halo Secure recording. I'm looking to use the USB-C socket(s) in the center console for music.

In the glovebox it is USB-A, just for the record.

Great! I have a 1TB USB stick that I found a year or more ago at a good price and haven't used it for anything yet. What about the max size of the USB-C drives in the center console?

Just an FYI: I was having a hard time with the USB-C stick I was trying to use. It needs to be formatted as MBR (Master Boot Record) Partition & FAT (MSDOS Format). ExFAT does not work. Usually the sticks you buy are formatted correctly already. The 128GB Samsung one I was trying to use magically was APFS formatted for my Mac.

Do any/all of the usb ports read data for music or just the one in the glovebox?

Only the USB-C ports in the center console will read music per the manual:
You can play media from a USB flash
drive by inserting the drive into one
of the two front USB ports (see USB
Connections on page 111). Select a USB
source from the list of media applications
on the Right Clearview Cockpit or
Pilot Panel. USB controls (Play, Pause,
Forward, Back, Shuffle, Repeat) can be
found on the Right Clearview Cockpit
when media is playing. [Pg 175]

The one in the glovebox is exclusively for Halo Secure.

btw I got this thing now: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B083ZLJ5MG?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

It is kind of weird, I used an old USB stick I had at home and it worked the first 1-2 weeks and also recorded videos and I was able to watch them in the car but then it started to just not record anymore and in the settings it showed there is no USB stick and it asked me to setup halo secure everytime. Turns out there was an error, saying the USB stick is too slow. It only showed up sometimes the error but not every time. But yeah the new one, I have 0 issues and it worked everytime I got into the car.

It will also fail. The bug isn’t the USB stick; occasionally, when the car boots, it will fail to mount the USB stick correctly. If you eject and reinsert the stick it will sometimes work if you give it a minute.

(It’s in beta)

Agree with @borski, I tried (4) different USBs & none of them were consistently working.
Also, has anyone been able to set HaloSecure as their Custom Button for the steering wheel or is it greyed out?

Occasionally when you are driving, can you please tap the HaleSecure icon on your ClearView cockpit to start recording & let me know if it records everytime?

It does not , it spins and spins ... do we think this is a drive issue?

This goes back to @borski comment, HaloSecure is in beta. The spinning indicates it is not recording, even though it is mounted it does not mean it will record 100%.

yeah everyone seem to have this issue. Its somewhat 50/50 if it works or not. I do want to say, for me the old stick was really "too slow", that error is gone now with the new stick.
