Within the first week, the air suspension made a cruncy, metal-on-metal sound while rising to "Highest" setting. Nav system was sending me in random directions and always insisted I get off at the next exit, even though I was 10 exits from my destination. Fob failed a couple of times. Voice control was working 10% of the time. I took delivery on October 23 in Milbrae CA, and drove it home to Tiburn CA. Lucid towed it back to Milbrae on October 31. The 450-mile range has become moot, as I'd never have the confidence to drive this more than 10 miles from home. It's clear that the software OS is unstable, and they are aware of this, yet they knowingly sell defective vehicles. It's a lease, which they are refusing to let me return. I plan to wrap it in yellow with the words Lucid Lemon and drive it around Southern Marin. And buy something dependable for long trips.

I’m sorry to hear this but, while it won’t make you feel better, mine has experienced none of this and I took delivery 7/21. I hope service is able to get it sorted for you.

I’ll never have enough confidence in this vehicle to drive it more than 5 miles from home. I’ve told Lucid I don’t want it back. No response yet.

Is there an "avoid freeways" setting in the Nav like Tesla?

I don’t know. Though as I told Lucid, the charger I was trying to get to was a mile off the highway. When got at the correct exit the system took me on a tour of housing developments. I knew it at the time, having opened Maps on my phone, that so was going the wrong way. I wanted to test the Nav. After 15 minutes I ended Nav.

It is sooo weird reading this forum - the different behavior of each car - there doesn't seem to be any kind of "normal" to expect!
I'm waiting for my DE, which should deliver by the end of the year. I'm in Michigan, so will be putting on the Winter Tire Accessory package, as the 22/23 Performance tires aren't going to make it.

To the point of this thread, I leased a Polestar 3 Performance in February of this year, replacing a Model Y, which had been flawless. The P3 was a nightmare when it came to software - forgetting digital keys, bricked once to the point of trailering to the dealership. But, in their defense, they assigned me a guy in Service at the headquarters who was great - I'm an early adopter, so I understand new software - and, they gradually (over about 3 months) provided a vehicle that has not had any troubles since. It has been reliable and we are in the stage of adding features rather than just "fixing stuff". The vehicle itself is phenomenally engineered and i would get another one in a heartbeat - but, MAN, that was a tough number of months.

Hang in there - and get to know someone at headquarters that will listen to you. Finally, you CAN force lemon law in Michigan, so that was a possibility for me here - but, they turned the corner and have made me a happy lessee.
