Agreed. Lucid should be transparent about this issue for Canadian market.
 
Just to provide an update, Lucid in Canada said it should work on the trans canada highway and should work on most highways...so seems to be an issue with my car. great. i'm going to do a hard reset and try again later/tomorrow...but in case someone from Canada falls to this thread, i wanted to give an update

- I'm in Canada.. I assume dream drive pro works in Canada? Can someone confirm? I was literally on the Trans Canada highway trying it
- car is updated to 2.8.9 and all dream drive options are on
- I've called lucid and they have no clue and said they'll look more into it and call me back some other time (they are nice.. Just a really disappointing answer).

Works (almost) flawlessly in Québec Province. I tried it between Montréal and Gaspé and on other highways as well like 10, 13, 15, 20, 40, 50, 55. Had the update while in Gaspé last summer and if I remember well even works on route 132 portion between Ste Anne Des Monts and Rimouski on single lane highway. Since 2.8.9 it's even better and smoother when it works cause sometimes it just doesn't want to engage, not even cruise control, and have to wait an overnight (or full sleep) to make it work again. So now if they fix that sporadic " on/off" glitche and I'm confident they will, the "Dream" side of DreamDrive Pro wil definitely means something cause the system is a big wow.

Mine just won't come on at all and won't even give me the chance to turn it on. And I drove on the 20 and the 40 so that means it's not my roads... It's really the car. I've had a few people from lucid contact me back after I let them know. I'll keep pushing them. Merci!
 
Just remember a few update earlier, we had to "synchronized " the DreamDrive" camera to set the lane keeping correctly (or something like that) and they asked to drive in a middle of a 3 lanes highway for a certain time or distance to get the dot marker on the road showed in cluster (while in cruise control mode of course) don't really remember the whole thing but I did what they asked and the car self driving improved pretty much. When you're on the "armed" fonction of cruise control, do you see the dot line of the road in your cluster ? If that dynamic setup has never been done it could be a reason why the Highway Assist didn't want to engage. Just a thought...

So update in case someone in Canada is searching for this. Dreamdrive pro/HFDA basically works nowhere. It's either that it works virtually nowhere (which I doubt because people in TO and Quebec have had it working in some places) OR the more likely thing is that my dreamdrive pro doesn't work at all, and Lucid won't help me at all. Countless emails and calls and they just say "it doesn't work there" when i show them where I am on the nav screen. Including places where it is bolded and highlighted (which is a sign that it should work) and including places where ME2U says it works.

So this sucks. I definitely am starting to regret my purchase at this point. I like the car but the dismal winter range reduction (I've had a few EV cars in the winter...the taycan has less range but its winter drops are NOWHERE near as bad as this car), the shakey support, the HDFA that basically doesn't work, and the questionnable updates make it extremely hard to love the car.
 
Sorry for you. Just trying to help, are you sure your gps is working good with a strong receiving signal ? For comparison (I check this afternoon) my nav is set to automatic update and my last map version is 200 (Canada) and I also download Ontario, Québec and all the Maritimes for offline mode the day I got the car a year ago. I think the system need location via gps to determine if the car is on
 
Sorry finger problem... if the car is on a highway (for DDPro) or elsewhere for ACC. Both, location and/on database map must work together. Otherwise I wonder how it can work ??? and maybe they use the offline map when signal is poor like driving in a tunnel. Who knows !!!
If your nav is set like mine it should work. The last thing "I agree" to data sharing in the nav set up as well. Just in case you didn't.

Sorry for the delay...didn't get the notification.

Yes, I've done all that and have received the updates, good gps, etc. The funny thing is that the lucid reps told me that dd pro/HFDA doesn't work in quebec either and you said you got it to work.


Honestly, I love driving the car, but the lack of advertised DD pro, lack of support, and somewhat glitchy software (frunk wouldn't close by itself this weekend...) leaves a really bad taste in my mouth. After my wife got used to HFDA from our freakin' rental ioniq 6, we expected to at least work a little bit in the lucid...at least on highways.
 
Understand. Is Montréal your service center? Cause they know DDPro works around. They've checked mine because I reported that often the car brakes (on hands free drive) while overtaking. That was after 2.8.0. They checked camera alignment (was ok) and test drive it and not being able to reproduce they ask me to wait next update which in my case fix it. (til now) I'm on 2.8.16 and did a Montréal-Québec City back and forth last week and didn't have a single glitch. They should honored their warranty and/or product if they already confirm that your car has DDPro, not telling you 💩. Personally I had and still have great relationship with Lucid for buying, aftersale and maintenance. But never called hot lines or whatever line they call it. Always call my SC and let them call their own people, if they needed to. Pretty sure the phone number they have are way "hotter" than the one we (customers) have. On business hours of course...
 
Maybe that's the thing..I'll contact Montreal to see if they can help. I contacted the general Lucid help which sent me to Toronto (which is not the nearest centre..).

I had talked to Rennie at Montreal once before. Is that who your advisor usually is?

I'm happy to hear that your HFDA works great..it gives me hope..but frustrates me at the same time :)
