Gravity Loyalty Offer Now Showing on Available Inventory

Thank you. I appreciate your taking the time to find that. My SA passed it along, as well.

When they told me they’d honor the loyalty credit, I didn’t think it would be “honored” in an entirely different form and not as an actual credit, but rather, a W2 payment.

Just seems really poor form to dock $2000 for loyalty when the customer is already having to pay $2000 for shipping.

And they refuse to refund my shipping fee instead.

I don’t understand. They’re offering to pay you $2,000 which you’ll then have to report as income? The W2 reference is confusing to me.

To your point (I think) the $7,500 was deducted dollar for dollar from my lease capitalization cost. Wouldn’t have qualified if I bought it. I’d expect the same for the $2,000. Are you leasing?

Correct. I have to report it as income.
And this is a lease.

Woah. That’s, ummm, weird. So it’s not $2,000 but whatever your tax affected amount is? That’s buffoonery. Sorry to stir the pot, but it feels like someone was just sitting around at BofA (sorry, Lucid Finance), and trying to figure out how they could give the $2,000 but not have it impact the residual…so, they told
Lucid to “fix the issue” and this is the solution…

Anyone else leasing and getting the credit? One would think they’d treat all of these the same way and others would be complaining too.

If you could get the $2,000 for transfer fee back/refunded, I just wouldn’t take delivery and bet you can match to an inventory car in the very near future. But, if you’re already stuck and have paid the $2,000, they’ve kind of got you…argh. Sorry you’re dealing with this.

Yeah, I think I’m just out of luck. My SA has not been very helpful nor does he seem empowered. It’s frustrating because he gave me his word the credit would be honored and made no mention of “small print”. I am mostly annoyed because when I brought this up prior to signing the online forms to secure the vehicle, he told me not to worry as I would get the credit and it could be amended into the agreement. I don’t think he knowingly lied, but he surely didn’t take the time to investigate and give me the correct response. Essentially, he acted in a way to make this process easier for him, not for the customer.

Ugh, sorry you've had to deal with that. My SA has been nice but I won't believe anything that isn't in writing from sales at Lucid. I've been in the studio here a few times and constantly hear them telling people that if they order a Gravity today they'll have it in 30-45 days. It sounds like a palatable amount of time to wait for a custom build but it doesn't bear out in reality. (and fwiw that's exactly what they told me at the beginning of July when I ordered mine but I didn't really believe it as I was already on the forums researching).
