During a weekend trip with no grandchildren (ages 2, 3, and 6) onboard, a freakin' grownup (my neice) had the nerve to spill some of their coffee in my Gravity! 😡
I had to slow up when a car on an interstate entrance ramp at first seemed to slow down for merging, but then sped up. Couldn't change lanes, so slowed up.
I mention the grands because I purchased a seat cover for the second row to minimize possible accidents (vomiting, bowel movement accident, etc.) with them.
Grownups? No problem. Wrong!!!
Fortunately two days earlier the rubberized floor mats arrived.
They did a good job of containing the liquid damage.

I didn't lose it with my neice until she suggested using her Clorox disinfectant wipes on the leather seat.
Then she suggested the glass cleaner that she had gone into the service station store and borrowed after I turned off at the first interstate exit.
I'd like to believe I would not have choked her if she had used either, but I make no guarantee.
Paper towels cleaned up most of the coffee.
My main concern was any liquid that made it to the floor panels; didn't see any.
Back at home today, I did a thorough check and found minor spot along the floor near the mats.
I have a service center appointment tomorrow for center console replace, so I'll request the remove the floor panels, check for additional liquid, and clean up.

Those center cupholders seem to be made of molded plastic and do not have a rubberized area within to firmly secure cups.
There is a recessed area between the two cupholders which looks like it can contribute to instability with a tall cup containing a decent amount of liquid.

So, if you've got klutzy grownups riding and drinking in the second row, beware.

Bigger lesson learned for me; Standard regenerative braking works much better at high speed for sudden slowdowns versus High regenerative braking.
High regen works perfect at slower (sub 50 mph) speeds for me.

You might be able to get something aftermarked for the cupholders eventually. I was able to do that for a Honda Clarity I had where everything was molded plastic.
I'm a klutzy grownup myself. So I don't let myself eat or drink in my Air. The only thing I ever bring myself is my water bottle, which has a lid that just flips down to seal. I learned my lesson in an older car that I spilled a latte in. Three days later, the whole car smelled like spoiled milk. It was awful. I couldn't even drive it with the windows up, which was a very bad thing because it was raining a lot that week.

Excellent idea.
It's on my list.

Anyone find aftermarket cup holders that make it wider?

I bought these a couple of months ago, but haven't had any messy adults in the second row, just granddaughters.
