Air 2.8.4 software update

Did the update this morning. Shorter than the advertised 45 minutes, probably less than 30. Did a reset before driving (my SOP after every update). Drove about 30 minutes stopped for an hour and then drove another 30 minutes. Music playback (PocketCast) normal, call volume and quality normal - I didn't receive any error messages and the cameras worked well. Took its usual sweet time to unlock with my phone, still takes too long to wake up from the app but not worse than before the update. There maybe a plateau in the robustness of this car since I did not notice much improvement in an already great driving experience...

Is this an android thing maybe? I have had zero issues with it but I use an iPhone 🤷

There’s literally zero chance of that being true.

Nah, plenty of Android users without issues. Heck, there was a period of time when my phone worked well. The kicker is that I also have an iPhone and it has the same issues. If I had to guess, I'd say the TCU needs to be reset again but that's speculation. Still works but next time it goes for service, I'll have them take a look.
 
Installed the update, got plenty of robustness, but still no fix for the CarPlay takeover media source bug introduced in 2.7.0 if anyone was wondering.
 
Um...I must be the lucky one.
I tried installing this update on my 24 Touring and this is what I get. This is the first time an update fails to install. Any suggestions besides calling Lucid?

I encountered this as well. I'm fine with waiting until it "naturally" attempts again over the next few days/weeks. But will that even happen? Does it require a manual push from CS now?
 
My car was in service for 2 weeks (clunking sound from accelerating / decelerating, turned out to be a loose front right half shaft nut, and 2nd steering wheel replacement for creaking sound), I got the notification for the update the last night the car was in service, and successfully installed it.

Got the car back yesterday, overall no noticeable changes except the Android Auto connection seems faster and more stable.

On a tangent, being in a rental ice car for 2 weeks REALLY made the appreciate my lucid after I got the car. The power, the sleek design, the planted driving, the head turns (I still get them). It rekindled my love for my Lucid all over again.

Shout out to the Chicago service center, solid service!

This is a bug that was introduced in 2.7.0, where no matter what audio source you were listening in your last drive (radio, tidal, etc) the car will automatically select CarPlay as the media source upon re-entry in the car. It was behaving properly before 2.7.0.

This is not my experience. Spotify starts up consistently each time. Which is what I leave it in. Even with CarPlay wireless active.

Yeah, that is not my experience either.
 
Tidal failed to resume to day after I got back in the car to drive home today. Switched to Spotify and that played fine. Hadn't seen this issue in a while.
 
At first, I was only experiencing non-robustness, but obviously robustness has been applied.

Deep sleep ingress had the audio un-muted for the first time in months, requiring no soft-reset.

I wonder if the kamikaze-off-ramp hands-free driving death-pact (lover's leap) feature has been removed? I was initially surprised she wants to fly off Colorado bridges via "automation". I suspect someone will die resulting in a company-crippling lawsuit and extreme media coverage; I'd recommend they "look into that" Dream-Drive Pro "feature".

Personally, none of the "tech features" work well for me, even with the updated computer, and never have. Luckily, I fell for the car for the Hp, Torque, and handling.
I'm ditching the 21" magnesium rims permanently as they are too soft for Colorado potholes and get torn-up easily, offer significantly less range due to weight, and make the ride stiff.

You need to deselect end-of-life mode in DDP 😂

But glad to hear your audio issues have improved.
