Lucid Air touring
Does anyone know if the lucid air has a wife hotspot or might be a future update. I know they have a partnership with AT&T

I saw a network called Lucid with the last few digits of my VIN, I think that's a hotspot. But I haven't looked into how to access it, as I am on AT&T as well and my phone has the same signal.

When using Android Auto, my cellphone wifi is connected to the hotspot, however, it only allows data thats Android Auto related it seems.

I think you can get a wife hotspot if you turn the seat heat all the way up to 3 while your wife is riding shotgun. Sorry, couldn't resist 😂.

Wifi hotspot? No, doesn't exist.

That's one feature I miss from my GMC. Wasn't cheap though, they charged ~30$ a month. Lucid doesn't have an equivalent feature afaik. If Lucid were to offer it I'm sure there would be a similar charge.

I have often wondered about the two wifi networks that show up in my Air. Not sure what that's all about.

one is probably for carplay / android auto. the other I am guessing is part of their network for the car as I am pretty sure ethernet TCP/IP is used for the components (wired) so maybe it's just part of that. I'm sure someone (bobby?) will chime in.

As I started reading the replies, I thought “Is NO ONE going to call it out…?” I knew I could count on you ;) If I had to do it, it wasn’t going going to be PG rated 😂

My wife likes the navigator seat. From there she can broadcast her displeasure at my sudden bursts of acceleration.
My naviguessor likes that the hot spot has built in massage, but wishes that the position was memorized by driver profile...

30$ a month is fairly steep. it's been a few months, but I believe it was 150 bucks annually for the Rivian I sold a few months back If lucid brings on a hotspot, it would be great if they could enable YouTube and at last Amazon for video streaming. Netflix would be ideal, but...that might be too tall of an order

I'd consider that to be an egregious violation of network neutrality. I personally hope to never see a scheme like that.
