Hi all. Over the last several days I’ve had a strange issue where Google Maps and Apple Maps, and today the on board Lucid Nav, is either frozen where I started up the car at my house or is unable to pin my vehicle down to a particular road in the car of CarPlay apps. Also strangely my Lucid UI clock froze, although all buttons on the touch screen still work. The other day a logo reset fixed everything. Today, it did not. Now my clock is changing every minute but is about 15 minutes off of the actual time. All Nav maps are frozen too (although I can drag and pinch them).

Any ideas? I’m not in any different area than usual in terms of cellular coverage etc.

Update: CarPlay maps are now working without me doing anything. On board nav gps still frozen.

My navigation had a similar issue a few days ago. I also had the issue of the one pedal driving toggle on the Pilot screen would not display when I changed from smooth the swift to sprint. I tried three reboots and final had to lock the doors manually and let it sit overnight. That took care of the issue.

Strange. It seems now that my car won't connect to cellular. So the clock and on board nav are not responsive. CarPlay through my phone, for the moment, is fine. I just got home so maybe letting it sit for the full shutdown will cure the issue. It was fine on an earlier drive this morning.

Have you had the issue of where your CarPlay audio, and I guess other audio like from YouTube or something like that lowers its volume for 5, 10, or 15 seconds and then raises it back up automatically to where it was previously? When that happens, when the volume lowers, it will not allow you to adjust the volume at all. Of course, Lucid service says that they’ve never heard of it before and they were going to contact engineering, but that was a month and a half or two months ago.

I haven't had that but I did have something the other day pop up that had happened once or twice on pre-2.8.0 updates where music was only coming out of the front right speaker! I soft reset on that too and it fixed it.

@Miami_Lucid_Man you have TCU problems you should get service to look at. The TCU provides cell connectivity, time synchronization, and GPS. Normally CarPlay will use the car's location (from the TCU), but if that isn't responding it will eventually give up and use the phone's location instead. Sounds like exactly what you're seeing.

No way! That seems to be exactly what's happening here. I think I know the answer but is that something that can be fixed via mobile visit?

I'm gonna check and see if the issue is still present after a deep sleep that's occurring right now but will keep your message in mind for sure. Last time they were able to get me in pretty quickly down here and provided a brand new loaner so it's not too painful of a process.

I would guess mobile can try some things, but if it's not a matter of resetting that unit it may have to go in for diagnostics.

A deep sleep of a couple of hours has solved the issue for now. Hopefully it doesn’t keep reoccurring but if it does, I know what I need to do. Thanks again.

FEH72, I’ve had the audio (volume) issue you described above.
