2022 Lucid Air Grand Tou
Is real-time updated map on Lucid's roadmap?

I think so with cellular connection. There is an option to download map for for offline use too.

HERE maps, the source of Lucid's navigation, does update maps periodically. And the car automatically downloads them periodically. You can request corrections here - I've tried but not yet succeeded:

When will we get the ability to bypass toll roads? The navigation system is worthless without that capability.

Hopefully it’ll come to the Air soon as it’s available on Gravity

I usually bypass the onboard Nav all together. I wish it was based off of a stronger platform like Google as I love using all of the screen real estate. But Carplay options are just about better in every way.

IMO you can't beat having native Google maps in a car, but you can't get that in a Lucid. CarPlay and Android Auto are a bit of a kluge relatively speaking.

Maybe it’s just me, but I have no issues with the car’s onboard navigation. It could be the mapping is better in NY and the surrounding areas, but it’s been generally reliable.

Me either. I’ve found it to be very quick in getting road closures / traffic updates etc.

Lucid's nav is generally fine when navigating to places with an address, rather than named places with no address. Sometimes it'll take you to the back of a building instead of the front. Voice input via "Hey Lucid" is so bad I don't use it anymore. I have to pull over and stop the car to enter the next destination.

I simply say, ‘Navigate to x, y, z’ and that’s it. I never say, ‘Hey Lucid’ for anything.

Through Siri or CarPlay or Google Assistant on Android Auto?

None of them. Simply using the built-in Nav with a quick push of the mike button. Maybe we’re talking about two different things.

Just two different ways of triggering Lucid's voice input. Either way, I've found it only rarely gives me the destination I had in mind.

Yes, but that's how you discover fun new places!
