Lucid Air Touring 2025
I’ve never been more disappointed with a vehicle than I have with my Lucid air. So I thought I would start a post where I can let everyone know and I can find out if these are common issues with others! What their issue is for the day with their Lucid air. Today was a new day for me with respect to errors. I got the normal error of somebody couldn’t hear me on the microphone during a phone call like it was muted. But I usually have that one almost every day. The new one I had today wasn’t the keys, not opening the door. Wasn’t the app freezing. Wasn’t that the charger wouldn’t be recognized. Wasn’t that a camera was didn’t work. But it was that my wipers were not working. What was wrong with your Lucid air today?

It’s reassuring to know some owners aren’t having any problems. Unfortunately, I’ve had my car serviced twice for similar issues. I’m curious to see if others are experiencing the same problems, even though it’s good to hear that some aren’t.

I was the OP for the first 6 months of my Air experience, so I genuinely empathize with their frustration, but it's been fantastic ever since (15 months). We've been using it a LOT this summer and with the Tesla SC expansion (that works flawlessly by the way) it's really expanded our travel envelope. Unlike some here, I'm a fossil fuel lover when it comes to enthusiast driving, but I will always have an electric rig in my fleet...hopefully a Gravity in a couple years.

4th time failure of 2.8 installation. Last 3 failures were at the service center..not looking good..

Loving my Gravity! No real problems...hope I didn't jinx myself! 😅

After 2.5yrs and 33k, still lovin my ‘23 at! I have noticed that lane change assist didn’t work a couple times - the msg comes up about changing lanes and blinker is on… but it stays in the same lane!? Not really concerned as a) only happened a cpl times and b) I’m sure an update will soon fix it (if it hasn’t already)

I’m genuinely puzzled why some of you would spend time in a thread that clearly isn’t helping you or me. There’s plenty of useful information all over this forum, so why not join a discussion where you can actually get help or offer it, instead of swinging by just to take a poke.

The purpose of my post (and the ones to follow) is simple: to document the problems I’m having with this vehicle and to find out if others are experiencing the same issues. If you love your car, that’s great, I’m happy for you. But maybe channel your time and energy into something more productive than trying to shut down my experience.

Today’s issue is I’m cruising along and suddenly my music just stops. Hit play stops again. This happens whether I’m using Spotify through CarPlay, Spotify built into the car, or Spotify on my phone via Bluetooth. The method changes, but the silence remains.

To clarify my phone issue, when I make phone calls through either CarPlay or just through Bluetooth the microphone mutes itself and refuses to unmute. No idea how to fix it. Hopefully that makes my point clearer. And if you stick around to keep replying, I’ll just take it as proof that my post is being read and doing exactly what it’s supposed to.

most owners are not seeing significant issues with their cars. I've had mine for 18 months and never has the car required a service visit. there are minor computer/car play glitches that either resolve themselves, sometimes a reboot is needed.

Thank you for your reply I appreciate it unfortunately, I reset my car on a daily basis. I’m on my third set of fobs. I was told that this is their third generation of the fob because of known issues.

Used to have the mute issue, but not since Android Auto. Wasn't really a problem, since the few times I actually wanted to answer the phone I routed through my hearing aids. The music stopping in all modes sounds like a cell signal issue. Have them check your cell antenna.

I’m running CarPlay, not Android Auto. The mute thing still happens for me even with daily soft reset, plus the music stops even without CarPlay connected. I’ve had it cut out on Bluetooth and even on the built-in Spotify app. I get the cell antenna idea and will have them look at that. Thank you for the idea, truly appreciated.

I don't think anyone is trying to shut down your experience. You asked "What's wrong with YOUR Lucid?" And they are telling you. Nothing.

That's valuable information. It means not everyone is experiencing the same issues as you.

If your title had been "Help me with my Lucid issues" and then you simply described your issues instead of making a weird list of things that were NOT wrong today (implying they must have gone wrong some other time) I think you'd probably have gotten very different responses.

If you want to get creatively snarky with your titles, poke fun, blow off a little steam due to your personal frustrations, etc., spend a minute in the room and let people get to know you first. Otherwise, you just look like one of many drive-by trolls who come in here regularly to stir up a storm and leave. I don't think that's your intention; but if you'd been here a while you'd know why it could appear that way.

So, let's start again: What are your issues, in detail, and give us as much information about each as possible. There are many here who would be glad to help.

Also, search is your friend. Tons of threads here describing common issues and workarounds or solutions we have found.
