I live in the Kansas City area. I have some questions regarding the potential delivery or pickup of my new vehicle. I'm asking here so that I can see what others have arranged for comparison when my vehicle comes.

1) My Lucid rep says I'll have to drive my trade-in car to one of their dealerships (Chicago, which is 500 miles away). has anyone else had to do this?

2) they said that they'll only accept a trade-in if I purchase my Gravity (not lease it).

3) what kind of lease offers have we seen for the Gravity. are they reasonable?

4) if I don't want to trade in my vehicle, will they deliver my Gravity to me (and if so, will they charge me extra for that(?

5) if I fly to chicago to pick up the gravity, will they pay for that?

I appreciate any help with this.

I can't answer any of your questions, but I have sold my last three cars through Carvanna, KBB, Carmax etc, and the process went really well. I got a surprisingly good value for the cars, too. That could be an option for you. Also shipping a car is a viable option. I do it twice a year and the process is pretty easy.

I purchased my Gravity and they delivered it to me from Houston. No extra cost involved with that and it came in excellently in a covered trailer. As far as flying, I've heard they sometimes do cover that, but you'd have to check with them on that to be sure.
They low balled me on the trade in offer, so I went elsewhere with it for more. Personally, would not recommend Carvana, especially if you are trading in an EV. They tried to change the offer after their silly diagnostic tool couldn't work on my EV. Tried to lower the offer and I told them to leave. Never again.

I am getting mine delivered to Detroit area- no Lucid dealer close. I am selling my model Y on carvana like I did with my last car.

Here are my experience with my Air 3 weeks ago.

1. Lucid will give you a site to go to for an estimate on the price they will pay on a trade in. That’s where I stopped because their price was 20% below what I was paid from Carvana.
2. This may vary by state, I am not sure.
3. Don’t know
4. They would deliver my car from Va. to NC., but I would loose the $1,000 incentive for buying a car in their stock. I chose to have it picked up and delivered for a few hundred $ and get the incentive.
5. They would not pay for me to fly to Va.
The best way would be to ask. All they can say is no.

Some thoughts:

As others have said, Lucid will offer you (in general) the lowest dollar amount for your car. Sell it via one of those sites and that gets rid of that issue.

3) Lease Rates - what you see on their site (you can only see it via the configurator) is what you get. There is no wiggle room and the terms are not favorable because demand is so high. The only “favorable” pieces is the $7,500 tax credit reducing the cap expense.
