Switch to Aurora Green from Stellar White?

Hi All,

I currently have a GT on order in Stellar White. 21/22 wheels, Yosemite, 7 Seat, DD2 Pro, Surreal Sound Pro, Dynamic Handing Package, Power Package, Comfort & Convenience Package, and Towing Package. I could go with any of the wheel options and don’t need the towing package, but I’d like to keep the other options the same.

I saw an Aurora Green in person last week and loved the color. Since they are currently producing Aurora Green, do you think I’d have a better chance and getting one sooner if I changed the color? Obviously the EV Credit ends 9/30 and that would be nice to have, but not a dealbreaker.

The SA I spoke with didn’t seem to have any insight, so wondering if there’s an ideas here. Thanks!

Certainly, there is no guarantee, but I think the odds would be more favorable. Although you could find yourself in a situation where they begin producing white instead of green, and you are back to where you are today… just no guarantee.

Thanks! I thought about that too since white is apparently “next” for production. It would be nice if I could just tell the SA I’m flexible in my configuration, but I understand that right now they are supply constrained, so that doesn’t much matter

It's likely you'll get an AG somewhat sooner, but signs are production hitting their stride and I'd be shocked if all GT pre-orders aren't delivered by end-of-year regardless of color. Honestly, none of the colors really speak to me, but the AG is "good enough" and looks nice in my driveway.

This month, we could be receiving an Aurora on Tahoe GT with everything except HUD, if we wanted to switch from Bronze on Ojai with HUD. But, we declined that trade in May.

So, let your SA know, because you never know…

I spoke with my SA late last week and they are looking for factory gated cars for me! Seems like there were still AGs coming off the line but they had the platinum appearance. I think stealth looks better with AG so hopefully they produce another batch with the stealth appearance.

My original order was 7 seat with all options, but with power package instead of tech package, and Yosemite interior. I told my SA I could go for any wheel option, and I would also be good with Tahoe or Ojai interior as well. Also don’t really care about tow package either way.
