OTA Update 2.7.0

MY car has the update available, but I am going to wait until the weekend to futz with it. I don't use android but I do occasionally get the issue where I have to wait to go into drive (but usually only like ~30 seconds or so).

I think I read somewhere that the OTA was starting to go out tomorrow. Can anyone confirm or deny that?
I receive my OTA today. Didn’t really notice much about my doors and since I don’t have the Sapphire version, I guess I won’t know how much better it handles.

Has just about everyone who got the update has been able to install it without any problems occurring afterwards?
Got the update yesterday. Did a quick errand to Amazon Fresh today. No new issues, but I'm a Car Play user.

Everything looks good after the update. Need to test the "drive delay" a bit more, but so far so good.

P.S. It looks that I can now wake up the car in the garage if it is connected to the WiFi, so I don't have any issues to complain anymore.

There's not much futzing to do other than a potential reboot to deal with sound issues after the initial startup after upgrade (one user report I've seen so far, but nobody else). I would say do the upgrade asap to avoid the drive issue.

Finally got the update today... and oh my f'ing god AA is indeed entirely crooked on the panel. A good centimeter of padding below the left side of the AA rectangle that dwindles to nothing on the right side. Extremely obvious, extremely irritating.
Huh?

I see... a few pixels on the left side, not a centimeter.
Also I'm pretty sure this is because the screen is curved. Not just on the top, but on the bottom. AA is straight, the bottom of the screen is not. Feel free to break out your laser levels and tell me I'm wrong though.

But that is impossible. Didn't you just say "Lucid doesn't know how to write good and reliable software."

Ahh, aren't you special, so sarcastic and everything... :)

Everybody gets lucky occasionally. Give them some time, they'll screw up again.

No I am not special, maybe just happier with the overall driving experience of my car than most.

I am sure Lucid will screw up again, just like every software maker from Apple to Microsoft to Google will. Maybe in the future before asserting facts that are not in evidence, remember that Lucid has delivered good software in the past.

Ok .. I'm putting this out there ..I've been waiting for AA just like everyone else...but today I found myself turning it off and switching to Lucid native apps and maps...they're simply more aesthetic to my eyes and work just fine ...I....disabled ....AA...what a circle of life...

Lol, if you would like me to revise my statement to say approximately 0.23 inches instead of a centimeter, I am happy to do so.

Does it matter? They could have blackened out the screen beneath the rectangle. They could have made the slightest effort to align it with the curvature instead of setting it to zero. They could have overlapped it with the bezel and let the right side clip slightly below so it looks straight. There's any number of solutions to prevent this eye-bleeding crookedness.

You mean, Apple or Microsoft introduced an update that lead people not being able to use their computers for a minute or two and waited a month before an update?

Lol...I felt the same way with car play. Probably only use AA when I want to stream Amazon music or use Waze. But the native apps are good 95% of the time for me...😝

agree, I think it's because the screen is curved and AA just makes it noticeable due to the layout. it's not a defect, I'm sure they tried a all different approaches and decided this was the best way to maximize size of the AA object and prioritized that above all else. driver also sits off center against a curved display so it's really a combination of things that makes it challenging.

my rear left door soft close wasn't as good as the others and sometimes would not engage. it does now. I think they adjusted when the soft close engages with all of the doors .. seems it may 'grab' the door a little earlier than before. if yours were all fine and they are now then you are good. and for those of us who had an intermittent issue, we're better!

We have a 2023 AWD Pure & use iPhones so 2.7.0 offered nothing for us but it has caused at least 2 new software problems. Driver Assist did work well with only minor issues but now it is useless. It does not hold a steady middle of the lane path & tends to dart side to side. It also has a much stronger tendency to follow exit or any other stray lines deviating from the main track.

The other Very annoying & dangerous problem is that the car will not hold it's position when stopped. We have the brakes set on the "Strongest Regenerative" setting for single pedal driving & that did work superbly. Since the so called upgrade the car will not hold on any grade when stopped without stepping on the brake. That is not "One Pedal Driving". Unfortunately none of the other many software problem were corrected or even helped. 2.7.0 is a disaster for us.

Have you checked to see if the Vehicle Hold setting is still set to Hold?

I did the update yesterday. When I backed out of my garage in the area where my garbage cans are usually tucked away off the side of my driveway the car twice slammed on the brakes, thinking I was about to hit them. It happened twice in a row, so I change the collision detection to late. Other than that as an iPhone user that’s the only difference I’ve spotted so far.
