Well, it's that time of year again in So Cal were temps are in the mid to high 90's and like clockwork, I'm getting the dreaded failure of lane departure and collision warning systems when my vehicle is parked in the sun. Today, while at an appointment, with the car parked in the sun for about 1 hour, when I got in the two below warnings popped up. They did not clear during my drive home (about 15 miles). This also affects speed limit sign recognition and the vehicle was stuck on "seeing" 5 MPH speed limit, mostly it just won't recognize any speed limit signs in this mode. In the past, I have also seen the failure occur while DCFC in similar high outdoor temps. When I reported this issue to Lucid last summer (and the summer before), they said that it was a known issue and there wasn't a solution. Has anyone else heard if Lucid has resolved this problem? I'm worried that the cameras/sensors will eventually fail (probably out of warranty) and I'll be SOL when this does occur.

I'm in Az but haven't seen this problem with my car.
Yea, seems odd seeing as others in AZ and in Saudi Arabia get significantly hotter than here more frequently. I'm going to put in a service request. I'm interested to hear what others have experienced when they report this issue to Lucid.

But in Arizona do you ever park for long periods of time (hour or more) outside with the windshield facing direct sun (no carport)?
Don't want to jinx myself, but this past Sunday, the car was parked from noon to 2 pm in direct sun and HA was fine afterwards. No warning.
Should add that I forgot to bring the windshield cover on that date, and wife thought I had memory problem.

I do use a sunshade (spring fold up type from Costco). It has happened with and without it on the vehicle so unsure if a sunshade exacerbates the issue. It should be noted that today when the issue happened I did have cabin climate control on the entire time I was at my appointment. The interior was cool when I returned to the vehicle.

Have you experienced this issue as well? I "think" that the affected cameras/sensors are those that are encased in the black assembly at the top of the windshield behind the mirror. It does get VERY hot! Pretty much the same as the back of the glass cockpit display.

While there are a few parking lots with solar panels covering spots, they are the exception. Parkades exist for some dense shopping centers or office buildings. But much of the time you are out away from home, you will likely be parked in sun.

I'm in Phx and I've seen the front camera plus the 2 above but only for like 2 minutes from the time I start driving. started a couple of days days ago.

I live in Scottsdale also and when I leave my car in the sun for 4 hours on the golf course, I get the same warning lights.

Interesting.
My car has had a few significant issues, but not this one.
Your car tinted and with Lucid sunshade for the canopy?

Made a service appointment yesterday. The App showed no availability for the closest SC (Costa Mesa) all the way through August. I had to book Torrance (which is nearly 50 miles away). When they called me to confirm the issue, he said that the Costa Mesa SC was booked until mid-September!! When I Gove the Torrance SA the details of the issue, he said that he had never heard of the problem before (maybe he's new). Managed to get an appointment for July 7th ... we'll see what they find.
