Has anyone experienced an issue with Spotify where it simply stops playing after about 15 minutes? Leading up to this, I've noticed that the triple dots don't respond and the timer greys out for a little while.

There is definitely a software bug and I think it's linked to the triple dots sub-menu screen not popping up, but I'm not sure. This happens all the time with podcasts.

I need to do a car reset to get Spotify working again. All other inputs continue to work as normal.

Side question: Does anyone know how to remove items in the Spotify queue via the car UI?
 
I was able to confirm this is a bug with my own testing. I'm able to replicate this on demand now.

Steps: Spotify -> Pick a podcast -> click on the triple dots. This should bring up the sub-meu for 15s skip. If the triple dots does not work, after about 5 minutes (I'm assuming code timeout) Spotify will crash and no longer work. Spotify will show a server error. Logo reboot does not work to resolve it. Have not tried if steering wheel reset will resolve. A full car shut down (20+ minutes) does reset Spotify.

Anyone have details on how I can report a software bug to Lucid?

I have the same issue. I'll email them and also call service.
 
The issue still happens from time to time. There really isn't a better workaround until there is a software fix for it. You can switch to bluetooth Spotify streaming if it becomes a larger issue. That's what I mostly do now. It's a bit frustrating, but I would rather it work than have to deal with a reset.
 
It's started happening to me as of recently. Driving from Houston to Dallas the Spotify app kept crashing and I had to keep playing the song to play by smashing the pause button on the steering wheel. Super irritating.
 
Been happening to me since getting my touring a few weeks ago. It "seems" to have to do with downloading tracks while playing. On playlists i have downloaded or play often it doesnt happen but it will happen at some point on new playlists or really long ones like "liked songs"

As an experiment, I played songs via Bluetooth and Spotify app on my phone. Same issue ..random stoppage etc. This, Now I'm wondering if this is bad cell reception or something..and not the app itself ..or maybe it's so broken that no matter if I use native app or mobile app, its still crashing ..more questions...

Idk if its just me but the Spotify in my phone keeps quitting 30 secs into a song :/ it only plays through if I keep the screen turned on in the app, is this happening to anyone else? The app is all up to date and I just cleared my downloads and cache too. update: I don’t know what I did but the app is working fine for now? I left it alone for a day and a half so it might have been a glitch in the app that sorted itself out. (Sorry theres no definitive solution (·•᷄‎ࡇ•᷅ ) app’s always on the fritz)

Same ditto behavior here on my app..Android phone..while on a walk today with headphones on Spotify kept crashing so I switched to Pandora and no issues...this has been going on for a good while with Spotify...you are not alone in this..
 
Honestly, I’ve run into the same kind of thing before, not exactly with Spotify on Lucid, but with streaming apps in general. It’s super frustrating when you’re in the middle of a good playlist and it just cuts out without reason. Makes the whole ride feel a little less smooth.

What I’ve noticed is that sometimes it’s not even the car’s system but weird little app updates in the background. Spotify especially tends to roll out small patches that cause chaos before they fix them again. It feels like a game of catch-up between the car software and the app.

The weird part is how inconsistent it is—like some days it works fine, and the next it’s crashing like clockwork at 15 minutes. I guess it reminds me of modding games where one tiny change can make the whole thing unstable until you tweak it back into place.

Anyway, I hope Lucid or Spotify pushes a quick fix, because music on the road is half the experience. Until then, maybe keeping offline playlists ready could be a temporary lifesaver. Not ideal, but at least you don’t end up driving in silence when the crash hits.

Yes Spotify just stops after a while, especially with podcasts, and the dots/menu won’t respond before it freezes. Super frustrating because everything else in the car keeps working fine. I also end up having to reset things to get it going again. Haven’t figured out a clean fix yet, and I’m still trying to see if it’s a Spotify bug or a car system glitch.

Best solution is to switch from the built in car app to Android Auto or CarPlay. Unfortunately it's not the best answer but it is what it is. You'll still run into other random issues, but they are much fewer and far between.

Yeah, I ran into this same issue a while back and it drove me crazy for a bit. What fixed it for me was logging out of Spotify on every device, then deleting the app from the car system and reinstalling it fresh. After reinstalling, I also cleared the cache in the car’s settings before logging back in. Since then, the playback and the triple dots menu have been working normally again.
 
Yes, this seems to be a known Spotify app glitch, especially when using Android Auto or CarPlay. The playback stopping and unresponsive triple dots usually indicate the app freezing due to a memory or connection issue. A full restart of the car’s infotainment system or reinstalling Spotify often helps temporarily. Does anyone know how to remove items in the Spotify queue via the car UI spotify apk
 
Related problem I'm having with Spotify in my Gravity. It frequently freezes at the beginning of advertisements. Sits there showing 0:00 in and 0:28 remaining, totally frozen. Usually won't even let me change to a different playlist. Locks the entire car app up. Seems to happen most when I try to switch to a different playlist, but sometimes in happens while still playing the current playlist. Some ads play normally though. But probably 70% freeze up.

I tried logging out of Spotify in the car and back in. No effect. Did a soft car reboot, no effect.
 
I get this on YouTube on my phone app sometimes. My theory: the app is directing traffic to some ad site and it takes time to make the connection and start streaming the advertisement. No advanced buffering of the ad. That ad distribution site is probably having to service a lot of connections. Very annoying.

This has been happening to me since I got my car last March. It’s not the only bug you will find in this vehicle Lucid is not really interested in fixing things quickly. I’m sorry you got the vehicle. You’re probably gonna end up getting quite frustrated over time.
