How much it costs to build a DCFC station:

Tesla: ~$32,000/stall
Rivian: ~$38,000/stall
EVGo: ~$181,000/stall
Electrify America: ~$185,000/stall

Electrify America wants more than $700K per station from the NEVI fund in Pennsylvania. That's 3x the cost of what Rivian or Tesla spend on a station, and Tesla and Rivian have more stalls per station.

EA is not making sense, on top of making all the lucrative free charging deals with many non-Tesla EV makers.

I don't have numbers. But your count on Rivian seems too high. And count on EA seems too low.

The US Alternative Fuels Data Center currently shows 20312 CCS1 DC fast charging ports in the USA, and 29368 J3400 (Tesla DCFC) ports.
