North Carolina Rally: Tail of the Dragon + More

Alright folks. I have found charging stations, stops along the route, places to eat, and hiking options. Given the plentitude of overnight accommodations, I leave that to each individual to figure out. My assumption is folks will come in Friday night. We do the rally on Saturday. Folks are welcome to organize amongst themselves Sunday who will be around for hikes, eating, etc.

High Level:
I have planned four meals (Friday night, Saturday morning, Saturday Lunch, and Saturday Dinner) with the only "required" meal being the lunch stop. All other meals are optional and local spots of interest, except Saturday dinner (Ruth's Steakhouse). None of the hikes are required, but I have stops with great vantage points and historical/pop culture significance leading up to lunch. Again, post-lunch is intended for everyone to do what interests them as they head back to Cherokee, NC along the Cherohala Skyway (lots of pull-overs, hiking, alternative routes, and general enjoyable cruising). Dinner would be a nice finish at Ruth's at the casino, but I know a full day can be a lot to ask.

In the meantime, please see this document: https://docs.google.com/document/d/108f9vuUeC_hhOck3Isw6bLoKhJLFaH7BSkq5QNfhKAs/edit?usp=sharing

Stay tuned for updates! I plan on getting dates post-contact with Lucid.

Additional Notes: For those out of state, I want to incorporate the same comradery of individuals hitching a ride from flying in or non-Lucid owners at the post-Gravity reveal in Los Angeles. Charging should not be an issue, but we should strive to make sure everyone is topped off before the ride out. I will see about a professional photographer and/or drone for folks to have nice photos without worrying about snapping photos themselves.

Wow, nice @Rogue , everything was looking good until the hiking! Jk, awesome itinerary, let's hope the dates work out okay!

Anxious to see dates!! I plan on making the (relatively short!) trip from memphis!

If I can make it out there for this, I'd be flying and have to be a passenger in someone's Lucid for the event.

I am planning to attend, depending on dates, since this is almost in my backyard. The pic in my avatar is 45 minutes east of Asheville, less than 2 hours from Cherokee, NC.

Excited to have a Lucid event in NC. I'm planning to attend provided the dates don't have a conflict. Will make all efforts to join the event. 🎉

Telegram appeared to work for folks for the rally on the West Coast. Find updates the day before and day of on Telegram: https://t.me/+sUfFD0pwj3Q1YzJh

Amazing job Rouge! This will be my first time on the stretch, despite having lived in Clemson, SC for 2 years lol.

I responded on the docs. My wife and I will be driving from Detroit, MI and try to charge overnight. Who cares about the lease miles when there is rally on such a great route.
We may or may not join for the pre-dinner depending on our rest of the plan (may stay overnight in Gatlinburg). But, we will definately head towards Detroit or Gatlinburg after lunch.

Time to ask my wife for the trip. She is easily carsick but please dont tell her about the route 😁

There are a total of 15-16 cars, 8 Lucid employees, and 35+ participants as far as I know. I am not sure if all the Lucid employees used the survey, but the final number will likely be close to 40 participants.

For some reason I am unable to access the Owner's club. After logging in it redirects me to the account I created while purchasing.

On the other note, I have RSVPed earlier. However, my car is with the service. I may not be able to join this weekend if I don't get the car back by Thursday.

There are folks willing to give a ride for the route. If you are interested, we would be more than happy to find you a ride.

If you have not charged for tomorrow's rally, I would suggest doing it tonight. Stations cap at 150kwh.

We were running at 2.8 miles per kwh running the car at the limit on Tail of the Dragon on the way to Cherokee. This is on 21" wheels. A much slower pace will be set for tomorrow, so I am expecting low 3.2-3.3 miles per kwh. 200 total miles round-trip to return to Cherokee, NC. Plan accordingly.

Look forward to meeting more owners tomorrow.

Note: 112kwh at 3.1 miles per kwh needs 58% of the battery for the route only.

It sounds like it'll be a great time. Have fun, everyone! Post pictures.
