Unable to engage drive or reverse

Very strange. I do exactly what you are describing several times a week, and I’ve never had this happen. You’re not getting the key fob not detected warning, or asking for the pin, or anything like that, right? It just refuses to shift into gear?

Charging light on the car stopped working

I just had mine replaced, too. Be sure they realign your charging port door after they fix this. The folks in Denver knocked mine out of alignment, so now the door doesn't always close properly for me.

    USB ports and Car Play

My suggestion would be to just get the TWraps wireless charging pad. Then you don’t have to worry about plugging in the phone. Or, if you want to just charge and not use CarPlay, plug into the ports that are made for the back passengers. You can run a wire up to the center console fairly easily...

    USB ports and Car Play

If you don’t ever set up CarPlay, it won’t activate when you plug in. But if have it set up for wired only, it will connect when you plug it in. Unless you switch it off in your phone settings first.

    USB ports and Car Play

It will remain wireless CarPlay, and your phone will charge. No interruptions.

    Lucid Experiences Unavailable

My guess is there will be some blackout period associated with Gravity as it nears production. It's just too much of a disruption during what is surely a very stressful load on Steven David and the staff.

Turning off Bluetooth while in CarPlay fixes audio not working

Check out this thread for my most recent CarPlay audio “fix.” This happened to me rarely to begin with, but I made this shortcut mostly to help others. https://lucidowners.com/threads/a-better-workaround-for-carplay-audio-choosing-the-wrong-source.8868/post-204106

    New Owner in Denver, CO

I saw a red Pure the other day in downtown Boulder. Waved to the person, but they didn't react. Then I realized I wasn't driving my Lucid at the time. So they likely thought I was just a nut job.

I mean, yeah. But LOOK at it. Gorgeous. 😊

    Flaps hanging under

Oddly enough, a low-clearance luxury sedan is not meant to be driven off road. Which includes some of the streets in major US cities these days. As Cosmo pointed out, the part is working “as designed”. If it held on, you’d end up with much more damage, as opposed to a plastic flap falling off...

    Lucid is Maturing

Yep. Everyone wants to focus on the short term. Lucid, meanwhile, has always been playing the long game. As if that giant factory in AZ was supposed to be 100% devoted to shipping $100k+ sedans all day long to millions of customers. Of course, the long game doesn’t always pan out, either. But...

    High frequency Sound

This has been discussed here many times. It's not the pedestrian warning. You can hear that if you open your windows. It's the motor. And Lucid has decided it likes that sound. Some here love it. Some hate it. Some are ambivalent to it. But there's nothing wrong with your car. (Or your ears.)

    FEATURE 2024 Wishlist Survey

I'd be fine if they added Google as the internal voice control system. Perhaps that would re-invigorate their Android Auto efforts while they're at it.

    FEATURE 2024 Wishlist Survey

Because Alexa Auto has basically been abandoned and Lucid needs to replace the entire system with something that isn't. I agree, the speed at which the mirrors auto-unfold could be more like 10 mph, rather than whatever crazy low speed it is now. I think the initial idea was that since the 360...

    FEATURE 2024 Wishlist Survey

Keep in mind, the left and right cameras are ON the mirrors. If you fold them in, you won’t get the view you think you would. They should turn both cameras on when reversing, though. I do like that idea.

Musk: "We dug our own grave with Cybertruck."

Honestly, it looks better with a "patina" like that , for sure. I wouldn't be surprised if Tesla started offering "relic" Cybertrucks pre-wrapped to look like this. Sort of like they do with guitars to make them look "vintage" even though they are brand new.

    Sapphire lease

To me, understating the HP is just part of the Lucid brand. And a great way to differentiate themselves from the competition. If you know, you know. You don't have to post meaningless numbers on a spreadsheet in a desperate attempt to "beat" everyone else. You also don't sacrifice everything...

    Sapphire lease

Yes, the Sapphire to GT gap is large. But the market for anything in between is tiny. Let’s face it: the vast majority of people can’t afford a Pure, let alone a Sapphire. So they might as well get as much money from Sapphire as they can, while they concentrate all efforts on moving down...

    Keep car unlocked

Mine doesn't. She can open the door and it will unlock from inside. But from the outside, the car will remain locked.
