Thanks for making the trip down, nice meeting you!

    Review of sapphire by MKB

Not NFC, but UWB (ultra wide band). Acronym soup. The current fob has NFC (near field communication, very low range as @hmp10 mentioned), that's the tap-to-unlock for when the battery is dead. UWB replaces Bluetooth, and like you said, should give it a much better idea of how close the fob is...

Fans running after wake up + losing battery %

If you have proximity unlock on, that makes sense? You're getting your key close to the car, so it wakes up and turns on the human A/C. I've never noticed it waking up on its own just to condition the battery.

    DC Area June 1st Rally

Great to see everyone, and again many thanks to @stealth, Susanne and the rest of the Lucid team who held things together. Somebody blew a tire right in front of me. Could have been a day ruiner for those folks, but they still managed to show up at the destination winery on time thanks to the...

    Low music volume

It thinks navigation is talking to you. Are you using the built-in maps? CarPlay?

    Lucid OTA update 2.2.2

I've also seen that with and without mobile key, and before 2.2.2. In my case at least I can just "nudge" the driver's door handle in and try again, then it works. Don't push it all the way in like you're locking it, just give it a little wiggle. I've only seen this in cases where I walk away...

    277 volt service

277V is a US thing, it's just not residential. It's one line of a 480V three phase. Not uncommon in commercial/industrial settings, and it's probably what the parking garage's lighting and fans run on, which is why they would want to just use that.

    277 volt service

The building would be much better off putting in one big high-amperage transformer to give everybody 240V. 277V is just not well supported by cars or EVSEs, even if NACS itself supports it. Like I said, I don't think anything other than (some) Teslas will currently accept that voltage, so...

Problems with App / Car Communication

Customer care ended up having my service center set up an appointment for me. I got a cold and missed the appointment, so I still don't have a resolution yet. I'll get that rescheduled and update if there's a fix. It did sound like they know what the problem is though, so if you're in the same...

    277 volt service

I doubt that will be supported. You're right, J1772 doesn't support 277VAC, NACS does. However, even there, I think (some) Tesla brand EVSEs are the only ones that have ever supported that, and Tesla has shied away from advertising that recently. Similarly, to my knowledge, only Tesla cars have...

    Lucid OTA update 2.2.2

They should start around 3.3-3.4V. 2.7V is the "probably quite dead" mark for most devices, but these fobs seem to get flaky around 3.0V or even 3.1V. If your new ones are at 3.1 they may just be bad batteries, or they've been sitting around too long. Check your voltmeter with a good power...

    BYD truth?

Both. I'll believe it when I see it, and then I will still not care. Neither my butt nor my bladder have a 1200 mile range, even if I ever wanted to drive 1200 miles away in one go.

Highway assist worked on US-98 N Florida - Local Road

It activated on a non-freeway for me as well many versions ago, I had the same experience with it being dodgy at intersections so I turned it off. I don't think Lucid actually reviewed every road it can activate on, they just punched in some search parameters. Either whatever database they...

    RESOLVED USB shuffle?

Yeah, lossy Atmos tracks play from USB same as from Tidal. But the only way I know to buy full 7.1.4 Atmos music is on BluRay, which is lossless. And as far as I can tell nothing can encode that to the lossy Atmos format except Dolby’s elusive pro software.

To max cooling in front - rear AC on or off?

There's no remote preconditioning feature yet, but I have a sneaking suspicion there may be "soon." Because ideal preconditioning takes about 45 minutes, not 10. This would have been nice for me too before I got a home charger.
