Was wondering if anyone seeing problems after the 2.5 update? My ambient lighting is not working correctly now.

The overhead ambient lighting in the strip between the glass canopy is not working.

I've also encountered this issue on a regular basis since 2.5.0. Toggling the "Themes" and Headlight modes does not resolve it. Works during some night drives, and is out for others. The only affected light seems to be the overhead strip, from what I can tell.

I have the same issue! A logo reset seems to work but then a couple of drives later, it stops working again. Luckily its a small issue, and I am sure a quick update will resolve this issue.

My ambient lighting keeps defaulting back to the original setting whenever it sleeps. I make my choice of theme which works until I leave the car. Then it resets back to the factory default.

More on the different reboot... I was told that there is a new way to reboot things (a three finger salute equivalent for Windows users) that restarts more of the car's systems.

Process as described/followed by me:
  1. In Park
  2. Hold the following 3 all at the same time until you hear a single chime - then let go.
    • Brake pedal down
    • On the steering wheel: RIGHT side - depress the FORWARD Button.
    • On the steering wheel LEFT side: Depress "X"/turn off cruise button
My overhead strip LED returned to life after this. No of my settings vanished.

YMMV.

The only thing I've noticed is a considerable lag in the cameras (particularly the rear) which causes problems as I'm backing up...

The “nuclear reset” fixed this for me (so far) as you suggested - thx! But I think your instructions are not quite correct. I think the right steering wheel button to be used is the MIC button and not the FORWARD button. I think it’s simultaneously depress thebrake pedal, mic button, and X button until a single chime occurs. Then it resets one screen at a time. I don’t think you have to hold the buttons down until the screen is reset. I just let them go after the chime as the reset did not occur until I let go.

Hi... I may have mistyped -- it's the rightmost button (of 3) on the both steering wheel pads plus the brake until you hear one chime -- let go..

I had the same issue - theme/ambient lighting/overhead led strip out again yesterday. Call service. Had me do BOTH reboots (logo first, then 2 buttons+brake)/asked me to wait a day and be sure my mobile key/fobs are far enough away to not confuse the car. We shall see.

Definitely not new. This has been considered a “hard” reboot for well over a year now.

Update: after my call with Customer Care (=both reboots) ambient lighting and the overhead strip worked for one drive. One day later, the ambient lighting is in the wrong theme and the overhead strip is out. Going to Themes, turning ambient off / on / off on does get ambient lighting back - but without the overhead strip.

Called Customer Care. They will schedule a service appointment. The tech says this was a (less common) problem before the latest update -- now more common.
