On my 23 GT I experience a weird shuttering/vibration accelerating between 3 and 6 mph. I also experience it when turning only 1 rotation on the steering wheel. I just got an alignment and the wheels balanced. I took it into lucid and they said there is nothing wrong with the suspension. Is this normal or is there something wrong here? The car only has 30,000 miles. I have the stock 19 inch wheels

I feel that in my 23 Pure AWD when inching forward with the steering wheel turned. I brought it up with service techs when trying to get a suspension clunk fixed but I was told nothing’s wrong.

Hi Steven8579, did you ever get this resolved? I’m still having the same issue - it’s so strange.

Any chance this is due to Ackerman Effect?

I just read the Wikipedia article on this. It mentioned that modern autos don't use pure Ackerman geometry because of differences between low speed and high speed handling.

I've always wondered why my Model X has a bit of a lurching feel when doing a tight turn at low speeds. It feels a lot like the slipping when using 4WD (limited slip differentials on each axle) on pavement that's too grippy. I always thought it strange since there's no need for limited-slip on these powertrains.

But with the wide tires there would literally be different radii for the inner and outer edges of the tire. And I'm sure there are other aspects of the design I have no clue about.
