I have a number of albums that were released as multi-disc sets. The individual tracks' filenames are in the pattern disk#-track#-song title; for example 2-04 Mary Had a Little Lamb.
WHen I copy these files to a USB drive and select the album to play in the car, the track order is not as it should be. For at least one of the albums, the car would play disc 3-track 1 first, then disc 2-track 1, then disc 1-track 1, then go back to disk 3-track 2, etec.
I've tried various ways to get the tracks in order, starting with renaming the files to the pattern overall track#-song title. That didn't work. Then I tried using the mp3tag tool, settiong all of the disk numbers to 1 and the track numbers to be consecutive from 1 to the last track. No dice there, either.
Has anyone run into this issue and, if so, do you have a solution?
