The “hidden” de-ice feature

I say hidden because it’s not in the windshield menu but next to trunk and frunk opening.

Was around 17F and front window was progressively freezing with hard ice starting on top with defrost going full blast.

Had to add rapid wiper action while spraying fluid to soften it up and knock it off.

It was pretty lame.

I've become somewhat addicted to Land/Range Rover's embedded wires in the windshield in these conditions. Even though most of the year they can be annoying to look through, I've decided they are worth the trade off.

How about windshield washer fluid with an appropriate freezing temperature. A) often what one buys is based on price not quality B) windshield fluid not likely to be on any purchasers ‘independent test’ list. C) US is swamped with ‘product’ that looks good in claims that are unverified and/or labels that are counterfeit.
