Has anyone else set their steering wheel custom button to regen?
For the most efficiency in priority order:
1) Coast to slow down.
2) Regen to slow down (less regen is better, as only 60% to 70% energy is recovered).
3) Brake to slow down (0% energy recovered).
The best efficiency is to turn regen off as long as you don’t have to touch the brakes, so I’m using the custom button to quickly swap from coast to regen braking. The only problem is I use DDP for highway driving, which is the best time to turn regen off. It gets tricky in city driving, but sometimes it’s fun when there is an opportunity.
For those that map the customer button to drive modes, do you frequently swap from smooth/swift/sprint? I tend to pick a mode and leave it there for long periods.
