Srange messages from the car this weekend

Normally, if I get a text, I get a popup on the screen saying I have a message from someone. Friday night, I got two messages from my sister. I missed the fitst but hit the second. It was something about not buying tickets yet because "it" might move to May. When I got home, I checked my phone to see what she was talking about. There was nothing from her. The next morning got even stranger. Another message from my sister, this one talking about a visit from her son, mentioning his name and things that the family might really do during his visit. Again, nothing on my phone. I finally saw her that afternoon. She confirmed that she hadn't sent me any messages since Wednesday. So... where did these come from? I have Lucid Assistant turned off. I can't even remember the last time I spoke my nephew's name in the car. Is the car somehow looking through contacts or data and creating messages that aren't real?

I originally read the title as massages instead of messages and was very confused as to how that could happen!

How were you getting the messages ? CarPlay? No the car is not gaslighting you. Lucid hasn’t fixed the soft close doors in two months. They definitely don’t have time to program the car with AI to make you feel closer to your family.

Not Carplay. I have the Carlinkit for AA, but that wasn't plugged in.

Maybe and old text that came through ? I don’t know a lot about Android Auto. I do know texts can sit out on towers and randomly deliver later.

Same thing happened to me. Got text messages on the lucid display from my daughter and some from my wife. Nothing on my android Samsung ultra 24. The content of the messages mentioned some old activities. It seems they were really old message, over a year old, coming into the car as new arriving messages.

This has happened twice to me too. Galaxy s24. Same text messages both times. Was weird

If Android think that this message is SPAM then Android moves to SPAM folder, check under Spam and Blocked section you should see all the SPAM messages.

check your Junk/Spam folder. sometimes Lucid announces spam text even though they are clearly spam. maybe the app takes an extra second to recognize it as spam but the carlink kit processes them immediately? i don't use carlink kit but i have definitely seen spam texts coming through on my car.

Nope, not in the spam folder. They were old messages that I did receive when originally sent.

I feel that this issue is related to Android nothing to do with Lucid.

Agree. Lucid just announces what it receives from the phone. Just weird that only a few old messages randomly show up on lucid as new. And the phone doesn't show anything in it's notification history.

I guess it must be the phone. I have a Galaxy s23 Ultra. But I've had a Galaxy for seven years and never had this happen. Which is why I thought it was something in the Lucid software.
