Why am I getting such bad numbers. This is from a 100% to 5% charge.

Ever since getting the vehicle I have always been getting average distances like this. It was not until I took my car for service and lucid gave me a loaner that I noticed my car has terrible mph.

That loaner can go almost a week without charge. My vehicle can go max 3 days. I don’t understand what’s going on?

I don’t drive in hills I don’t drive out of the normal maybe sometimes when merging onto the freeway but nothing out of the ordinary.

Temperature related? Something is clearly different from the efficiency over the previous 18k miles. So, what changed from when you were previously getting better efficiency?
 
Not sure what Lucid Air you are driving or if the mileage you show is for the entire life of the car, plus would be helpful to know what weather conditions you are in, if would be helpful to post that. I have a 2024 Lucid Air Pure with 19" tires, RWD, all sorts of driving: city, flat long stuff and pretty much 100 feet to 8K feet mountain driving up and down (at least once a month both winter and summer) so using heater (in winter) and A/C (all summer long), even using the seat massagers. Have had car for 20 months and running totals are: 17,911 miles on it, used 4,434 kWh and have 4.04 mi/kWh. I get the feeling anything with AWD and larger wheels (20" or 21") you won't get mi/kWh that I am getting. For me it is 4.04 mi/kWh x 88 kWh (battery size) = 355.52 average actual miles (on a full charge) over 20 months. Of course mi/kWh can vary from charge to charge depending on the driving I have seen from 4.5 mi/kWh to 3.46 mi/kWh. I will say yours does seem to be on the low end, did you actual tell them at service what you were seeing? I hope you find a solution and that you mi/kWh improves for you.

I’m driving a Lucid Air Touring with 20” wheels (AWD). The vehicle has 21k miles. The picture shows 18k so it’s fairly close to lifetime.

Here’s what I can provide if it helps. I live in Southern California the weather here is not too bad also no hills, the car is driven 99 percent on flat roads. I have the AC on all the time rarely use the heater. I have an appointment for service coming up where I will definitely bring this up.

I live in socal the temperature here is not too bad and pretty consistent. I’ve driven the car pretty similar, if anything more aggressive at first because I enjoyed launching the vehicle.
 
I’m driving a 2022 Air GT with roughly 10,000 miles and averaging 3.25/kwh. I do not baby it, typically 80 Mph on the highway, occasionally gun it on local back roads but otherwise drive normally.

Yeah something has to be wrong with mine. Hopefully I can get some answers with this service appointment coming up.
 
My experience of service at Lucid is absolutely excellent so I’m sure they’ll get to the bottom of it

Lucid's claimed efficiency numbers, which are based on 5 cycle EPA, is really unrealistic. But I'd expect an Air to range between low 3's to mid 3's miles/kWh.

Yeah those are the same highways I’m on. I’m lucky if I ever see a 2.xx. I’m definitely bringing this up on my next service appointment.
 
Something's clearly amiss. Even your Trip A's 2.56 miles/kWh is poor for SoCal weather and terrain. Not that I think it would fully account for the difference, but how do you have your regen set? Having it set on high does make a big difference... especially when navigating SoCal traffic.
 
Those are numbers I would expect for an Air with the following criteria:

• Regen disabled
• Always in Sprint mode
• Launch from every stop
• Mud-Terrain tires, inflated to 10psi
• Five occupants
• Bowling balls in the trunk
• Dumbbells in the frunk
• Windows down
• California King strapped to the roof
• Two inches of snow on the road
• Tropical Storm-force headwinds
 
Yea those numbers are pretty terrible. You said SoCal.. how hard is your A/C working? That could be a big drain.
 
I've got 500 miles on my new Air Pure. You are way more patient than I am. There has to be some massive phantom drain going. Action items you could try: Make sure Sentry is off. If your garage is next to a hallway, or stairway to the basement, like my house, turn off Auto wakeup. For good measure turn off the climate control when you get home. But I would still guess it's some unknown phantom drain issue. Look forward to the update after service call.

Probably the hardest driving condition is up the mountains in super cold weather with the heat and seat heaters on. The other day I went from 26 feet elevation to 8K elevation in about 35-40 degree conditions (not super cold but cool), heat was on the whole time, doing 55-60+ mph and it was about 87 miles and I got 2.5 mi/kWh (My 2024 Lucid Air Pure does not have a heater box so uses more juice to heat). Not sure how 20" wheels and AWD would do but can't image it would too far from this number. Also did a trip on highway, back roads all flat, A/C on was about 80 degrees out, went about 97 miles and got 4.34 mi/kWh.

I think your Lucid Touring is probably a 2024, EPA range (100% SOC) would be 382 miles with a 92 kWh battery, which is 4.15 mi/kWh (according to this: https://lucidmotors.com/media/document/lucid-air-touring-technical-specs-2024.pdf) so of course what you get will be less than that. EPA numbers are happy saleperson numbers. In your graphic your Since Last Charge would mean (if my math is correct) you have 14.13% (79/92) of your battery left and theoretically you would be able to go (1.58 x 92) 145.36 miles on whatever the charge of the battery was Since Last Charge. Unfortunately, you did not state what percent charge the Trip Information is based on. So if these numbers are based on 100% charge then ya this is really bad.

Further, (too geek out) looking at Trip A (again if my math is correct) you have used 7,153 kWh to go 18,332.5 miles. Divide 7153 by 92 and you get 77.75 times the battery has been on average charged to 100%. If you multiply 77.75 times 382 you get 29,700.5 miles. To attain 18,332.5 miles you would have to only be getting 235.78 miles per 100% charge which is real close to the 2.56 times 92 which is 235.52. That is consistent with your poor mi/kWh.

For my 2024 Lucid Air Pure since this car had 25 miles on it my Trip B has been running and it is at 18,376 miles, 4.04 mi/kWh and used 4539 kWh, this works out to about 356 miles actual miles on average for 100% SOC, which is accurate. If you divide 4539 by 7153 that is 63.45%. Again not sure what 20" wheels and AWD use but would it be 40% more juice than a RWD with 19" wheels.
