I’ve been living in the US for many years and will return to France soon (dual citizen here). I understand that I can ship my personal vehicle from the US to France and pay zero taxes if I’ve had the car for more than 6 months. Thing is - I’m planning to return within 9 months, so I need to buy and register that vehicle asap. Fell in love with the Gravity and I’m not really sure about availability status…. Any chance of getting a nicely loaded Gravity in the next few weeks or months? Hey my username is Lucidream so can I dream my gravity?!? :)

Place an order without the Tech Package (HUD) and choosing green or black should improve your chances considerably. Also, check with your local Sales Associate and ask about “Orphan” gravity’s. They are Gravity’s that factory has built (or is building) that do not have an assigned buyer. The more flexible you are about what options/color you must have, the more likely they will be able to match you with an orphan car and be able to get it pretty soon.

Suggest you also talk to Lucid about the impact on warranty etc ... from the website:

If, during the warranty period, you are the original purchaser or lessee and you are permanently moving to a Region supported by a Lucid Service Center, you may apply to Lucid to transfer the Lucid Warranty to the new region for the duration of your ownership and the remaining warranty period. Requests to transfer a vehicle’s Lucid Warranty will be decided on a case-by-case basis by Lucid at its absolute discretion, and will be subject to certain conditions, including all necessary regional modifications being carried out by a Lucid Service Center at the owner’s cost.

How would charging a NACS-equipped car work in Europe?

Thanks @Bdr100 for the tip, will revisit the build and look at orphans locally. Thanks @Spin Doctor for raising that. Maybe I'm jumping the gun on this one. Lucid announced plans to come to Europe later this year or next, so they may have a "factory" or at least a Lucid Service Center solution to this. Thanks @HC_79 for pointing that, will look into these 3rd party adapters. The thing though is that handshaking between car and charger can be so finicky, I'm wondering if I can get the max load from CCS2 through a NACS adapter...

My advice is go to your nearest Lucid Studio and ask for the sales manager. They can look up the inventory that might be in production. There is no guarantee, but they have been ramping up production. Definitely don’t think you will be able to get it in a few weeks. Maybe in a couple months. But best to check directly with the Sales Manager.
