Just finished first long trip in GT from Scottsdale via SLC to Seattle area. Was a great 1600 mile trip. Average efficiency was 3.5mile/kw with a lot of variation reflecting the hills and valleys. Posted speed limit was 80 most of the way and we stayed at that general speed. We were carrying a lot of weight - the frunk holds a bunch. It also gets quite warm (hot). Had electronics in there and that raised some concerns. Everything seems to function however.

Travelled on 19 inch tires and no issues. Charging was great except for one stop where it was slow at about75 kw. Took a bit of charge and moved on. Hit 170kw on a 150 charger! Also hit about 200 on a 350. We found the charge was so fast you really didnt have to worry about much lost time. There really wasnt enough time to eat much or take a long walk.

Tried navigation with Lucid, apple play and ABRP. They all had their pluses but did give up on Lucid’s and used apple play most of the time. Wasnt exacted thrilled with music side of things. Quite awkward to get new selections etc while underway. I love the low pilot panel but not when trying to drive and make changes.

AC worked fine in 90 degree temps but it took a while to re-cool after a stop with AC off.

Trip was marred by an anxious A-hole trying to get around me while we were moving into a charge slot. Nicked the left rear quarter - and then left the scene. Scraped paint and a small dent.

All in all a great experience and it reinforced what a great road car the Lucid is.

Were you able to do the trip in 3 days? What were your overnight stops?

Yes 3 days. We usually cut across NV and do it in 2. But with charging - well wouldn't make it. So we went the SLC route and stayed in Beaver, UT and then Mountain Home, ID. Neither town is very interesting and the restaurants were not good. But the charging was and the hotels were also good. Hard to believe but we missed Winnemucca; our usual stop.
