LUCID AIR GT QUANTUM GREY
So I confirmed 1/5/22. No Vin and no delivery info. Did a test ride on 5/8. Awesome, but hope Lucid doesn't go out of business before they even deliver my car:confused:

Well, if they are going to go out of business, I would rather have them go out of business before I put up the cash...

I have the same colors on order. Grand Touring.
My order date is March 8.
I test drove in on May 13.
Now I just wait.

Quantum Gray GT ordered December 21, confirmation March 2. Test drove in Scottsdale April 6. Today our sales rep told me to expect VIN “soon,” certainly in June, and delivery in 2-6 weeks, and probably closer to the 6. He said they were trying to address some QC issues before delivery that had been concerns on cars previously delivered. I didn’t have time to chat- so don’t know specifics. Maybe software issues?

I’m now entering week 7 on the 2-6 week delivery timeline post VIN. As far as I know, my car is still in production at the factory. I assume that they are having major QC issues, but my DA Faraz has been asleep at the switch and I know nothing about the current status of my car. Be prepared for a long wait. BtW, I ordered 13 months ago and confirmed back in November.

I’m in the same boat except that I did talk with Guy MacLiver, Director of US Sales, today. I appreciated the call, but he had no new information about that status of my potential delivery. So, for all those with VIN’s, but no car, Lucid really doesn’t know when we will get our vehicles. He did make me feel a bit more confident regarding any future service needs though…

I think they have too many variables to nail down timing beyond what they have at the Service Centers right now. It’s all just speculation, but there are quite a few of us in this same situation, we have our VIN’s, reaching the end of the 2-6 week quoted timeframe, but no real indication as to when delivery might take place. It is what it is.

UPDATE - Finally got a callback from LUCID. And the news is "There is an 80% chance my car will be delivered prior to Labor Day". Vague, but better than nothing!

Oh, So now we are doing percentages on delivery time….😆

Well I feel a little better now... I ordered my Quantum Grey Mohave in late November and got a VIN about 4 weeks ago. Still waiting though.

The qualified response, yes, some will see it as worthless, others will feel better.

Did they say which year? :D

The only other info which I vetted the Lucid rep on (Phillipe) was whether or not my color choice of Quantum Gray slowed down the works. His response was, no. He also claimed that delivery protocols very recently "dramatically changed" insofar as now Lucid refuses to delivery any car that does not pass its stringent pre-delivery checklist and Lucid wants to spare owners of taking new cars that need attention (READ - We do it better than Tesla). That's all he told me on the call.

Depends on your confirmation date. For the November / December confirmations, the answer was YES. Absolutely, color choice delayed your car. Now that they supposedly harmonized the Grey, it should not matter - except if it is silver.

READ: the car hardware will be delivered perfect Now that we have had 8 months to inspect it.

So, I know it has only been a week or so but how is the car? Any quality issues? Worth the wait? Can you give the rest of us any hope?

It is wonderful! A joy to drive, quiet, comfortable, responsive, solid suspension and the girl loves to run If you just step a little on the accelerator. High regen is perfect for one pedal driving, much stronger than my Leaf. I don’t think I have touched the brake pedal more than once or twice on the road. I always knew it would be worth the wait. I just wanted it sooner. You will be glad to finally get it in your hands!

The only issue I had was a section of the lower trunk liner kept wanting to lift and curl up from the adhesive. Mobile service was responsive and tacked it down with a little velcro. I noted one software glitch that I sent a video to Customer care - the since last charge trip information kWh consumed will blink between some small number and the real number. Not a biggie, but just pesky little bug.

Quick update on my car.... still don't have it! It's been stuck in Chicago for a couple of weeks and hasn't passed their inspection, apparently due to problems with the 360 degree camera. They first mentioned this last Wednesday and as of this morning they say they still haven't "diagnosed" the problem. This sounds hard to believe, to be honest.

Anyone else having similar issues?
