Protecting Peter's signature

Among those of us who were lucky enough to get Peter to sign our frunk (inside) , has anyone attempted to protect it with a clear coat spray? If so, what did you use? I'm assuming anything lacquer based would be a BAD idea.

You could press a rectangle of clear PPF over it. But removing the PPF would remove most of the signature.

You could also try a very light coat of silicone (with a small paintbrush) just on the signature before applying the ppf in hopes of salvaging it if you remove the ppf. I would test the silicone on ink before doing it though...
