Greeting,

While waiting for my Air GT order which can take many months, there are some 2022 GT for sell imported from US to UAE.
I have imported a few US ICE cars into UAE and generally the map data base doesn't work here.

Has anyone done Air grey import? what is your experience, I would imaging OTA doesn't work either.

I wouldn't recommend importing as some functionality may not work. For example the data/network will not function so it would need to be on wifi all the time.

I don't have experience with importing, but maybe it's good to know that the US has a 120V@60Hz power grid. If I remember correctly there's a 230V@50Hz TN power grid in the UAE.

If you're planning on charging at Level 2 chargers (at home, shopping malls, etc.) then I would consider checking with Lucid tech support whether the car supports both grids. Otherwise the worst case scenario is that you're stuck charging exclusively at DC chargers.

(of course there's always the possibility to build a custom solution, but that's probably not what you imagined)

Good point, also recent OTA has fixed alot of tiny issues such as Surreal Sound fidelity etc. It would be a bummer to be stuck at old version.

The wall charger should be able to take care of that with standard three phases 240v input. Will be mainly charging from home.

I wouldn't assume that a typical AC-based wall charger will adjust the frequency. Unless the charger contains a dedicated inverter (which I haven't heard of before) the charger will simply forward whatever its receiving from the grid into your battery. Meaning that the car will have to be able to handle both frequencies. There's a good chance that it will handle this just fine. But I also know of power circuits where the frequency needs to be specified, or stuff will break. Either instantly or over time.

I quick message to Lucid support could give a definitive answer:) Good luck!
