The problem I have to think through is that I want the 20 inch wheels and the 5 seater. The DE is awesome. But has lower range than GT. If I get a DE with a 5 seater and smaller wheels it is still the same price. Why would I want more horsepower on smaller wheels?

Its odd. They still discussed about it in the media drives and showed it to few. What caused them to drop it ☹️

wow that is quite the last minute pivot! Personally as DE order holder, I feel like it justifies the value of the DE by JUST that much more, especially since I had specd mine with the "base" black ext and smallest wheel/tire package, I felt like I was really leave money on the table so to speak...this makes it a little better-selfishly.
I wonder if this will make a handful of GT order holders switch to the DE?
I also wonder if this has anything to do with the fact that the heads up display has been so slyly hiding this entire time, even in the test drive vehicles that were available today- I wonder if the HUD projector/BOX was present on the demo vehicles and therefore indicating that the hardware was already present and potentially could become available as a Software Update at a later date?

The HUD was not active, unfortunately. But I learned you can adjust where it displays, and it can even track your eyes and move its display accordingly. Setting for this is part of your profile, so if you share the car with another driver, it’ll put the HUD in the right place.
If I am not mistaken, even at test drive the sales mentioned about hud being available as part of profile lol. What a joke.

The Gravity GT I ordered is fully loaded just like the DE. But, I do not need the 7 seats, the towing hitch, and the 22 inch wheels. The difference is $140k for DE vs $117k for what I ordered. Ouch. I would have to pay more to get less range and more power that I will not use.

Got the same email and I am disappointed. I wonder if this is a supply chain issue and they can only meet this need for a smaller subset of vehicles? Or is it to get more folks to switch to DE? Either way, disappointing, last minute and abrupt.

If a supply chain issue, I wonder if they will fix this in the future, such as 2027 models.

Yeah, this line says it all… and 600 for some power outlets?? I hate to say it, but this is almost Tesla-esque if done for the sole purpose of getting people to upgrade. There is the chance that it is a supply chain issue, though.
Alternatively, you can explore an upgrade to Lucid Gravity Dream Edition, which includes the full Technology Package.

So does this mean you don’t have the option of dynamic ambiance lighting either? I see no mention of that as a substitute or standalone option. Plus they are telling me the supernova bronze is going to be a fall or winter color. WTF?

Well, super disappointed in Lucid. They giveth and now taketh away. Just got a notice that the heads-up display, ambient lighting and 120-volt plugs are no longer as a Technology Upgrade Package in the Grand Touring. If I want it, I have to order a Dream Edition. I can't afford a $150,000 SUV to get that package. I"m super pissed. Super disappointed in them. I feel bait and switch because the DE wasn't compelling enough, so they stripped out what everyone wanted to made it exclusive to the DE.

BTW anyone knows how many 120v outlets are there without the power package?

None are included. But it is $600 for three 120 volt ac outlets. That is not bad.

I think I will keep my order and just wait for the options to be available.

The HUD is a must have for me, and I can't talk myself into the DE. If the HUD is not available when it's time to confirm my GT order, I'll be canceling it, hoping that it becomes available later. This is a shame.

Got the same email. Quite disappointing on a $120k car. The Dream Edition line got me. Perhaps hold out and see what changes later.
