Just picked up my Lucid Air Touring stealth black 20 in wheels with glass canopy SS, DDPremium, comfort and convenience. Im really digging the blacked out menacing look. It’s funny, I would never ever buy a non-stealthed version of the Air (to each his own), but with stealth I feel the car transforms into one of the most good-looking cars on the market today.

Been a long time admirer of Lucid and lurker on this site. All of the info on this site has been helpful in finally pushing me into getting my first EV. Like to offer some of my initial impressions, hopefully it will inspire other potential buyers.

First off, what an amazing vehicle. I know it’s been said repeatedly on here, but this is the best car I’ve ever driven. The driving mechanics are incredible. And the inside is just classy and luxurious. It’s night and day between this and a Tesla.

A big concern of mine was regarding car entry— there’s obviously been a ton of complaints regarding the FOB/mobile entry issues. So far, I’ve had no issues whatsoever. The day I picked up my car, I put a key card in my wallet as backup and stored the FOBs at home, and have been using mobile entry with my phone exclusively. There’s been a few instances where the door handles didn’t pop out immediately, which is rectified by just waking up my iPhone.

One thing I would have done differently— opt for SSP. I’m not an audiophile by any means. I can’t tell the difference between $10 and $500 headphones. But boy, the stock SS is pretty bad. I have bass to max and it sounds like I have a tiny wireless Bluetooth speaker near the front of my windshield. And changing the balance or increasing the volume doesn’t really help. The problem is not solely the bass, either. Hard to describe it, other than to say the speakers sound weak and “unlively”…

I also had a rattling sound coming from my drivers side door (windshield? B pillar?) from the moment I drove off the lot. But it magically went away the moment I scheduled a service visit. I might keep the appointment to address one of the rear seat AC vent knobs that fell out.

OTA - it’s been a week and I’m still on v2.44. The associate who got me setup with the car on pickup said it needs to be on wifi for OTA (not sure if that’s true based on this forum). Since I park in an underground lot with no internet, he suggested I set my phone as a wifi personal hotspot when driving so the car thinks it’s on wifi. I’ve done this for a week now and no update. Is the wait for OTA like this normal?

Glass canopy - something I knew I always wanted, but had concerns about heat and road noise. Right now in SoCal, it’s pretty cool with unusual overcast, so I haven’t had an issue with heat for now. I did buy the Lucid sun visor in preparation for next summer. There is certainly road noise if I try to make an effort to listen for it. I test drove a Pure and the cabin noise was noticeably quieter. But tbh it doesn’t bother me at all, I don’t even notice it, and I’m glad I got the glass canopy.

All in all, I’m just super excited to drive the Air every day. Which is something I haven’t said in a long time (perhaps since when I first got my Infiniti g35 couple over 20 years ago). I have no regrets choosing the Lucid Air and strongly encourage anyone else on the fence to give it a test drive.

Congrats!!! Your Stealth Air looks BADASS if I do say so myself. It’s amazing what a chameleon this design can be. I chose a totally different aesthetic and yet I think it looks just as awesome…that really is the sign of good fundamental form…

Congrats to you as well! This and silver were also my favorite colors. And I agree with your other post, the lease deals were too good to pass up!

Congrats and welcome!! I’ve got basically the same ride with non-stealth, I think a tint would complete the look!!
