Please forgive my indulgence but I had to add this to the AGT narrative and trust the my forum colleagues accept it as a positive. contribution.
The AGT is by far the best car I have owned. Over the past 25 years that includes higher end MB's, Audis, Porsches (including Panamera NA GTS's) and a BMW 650i convertible. My driving experience includes a few years of high performance track driving in my factory ordered 2015 991 Turbo S and a couple of three day courses at the Porsche Sport Driving School in AL. I realize that some members here have much more track experience, which I respect, as it sharpens one's driving on public roads and reinforces the need to stay at legal speeds. They may also be lifelong Porsche fanatics.
While there is no substitute for the Porsche 911 and its amazingly improved iterations I can say that my 2023 AGT on public roads at legal speeds is close, despite being about two tons heavier. That includes canyon roads in the Rockies and the hills of VT and NH. (I do not counter steer on public roads.) I write this missive because I have lately been thinking about getting a 992.2 GTS T, although there are no twisty roads near where I live now on which to enjoy it at even 50%. No, while the visceral experience and the road feel of the AGT are not sharp like the 911, it answers quite well in every other respect and more as a daily driver. That is to say nothing about the exhaust note and overrun thrill of a Porsche sports exhaust, but as I age those have faded into the background and I rather enjoy the zen of the AGT, even with the less immediate road connection it gives me. I would never think of tracking the AGT for obvious reasons, so the 992.2 GTS T may be in my future.
Anyway, this is for those who wonder how it is to live with an Air. Great on short, long and intermediate trips in any weather. Always safe with enough nannies to give me comfort. A joy to drive and own.
