Worked in a lab with a bunch of STEM nerds. Saw this video of a Blackbird and had to share it with a former colleague...
was reading the comments { always the best part of Reddit }
and came across this:

BMW did a stunt where they refueled a car while driving. Only it wasn't just driving, it was in a continuous drift. And the refueling car had to drift in tandem right next to it. It was so they could set the new record for "worlds longest drift" it was really cool and even more impressive.

had to post it here because ... car guys are absolutely nuts with a straight face.


edit: did not go far enough into comments....it just keeps getting better:

I'm pretty sure it's powerful enough to just keep accelerating until it literally breaks apart.

It would probably run out of fuel before it breaks apart...


I believe the Veyron used the same concept.

The tires will shred in 15 min, but you'll be out of fuel in 9, so no worries
