I'm questioning my sanity. I visited a Lucid showroom that had two Airs on the floor. One with Surreal Sound and one with Pro. The salesman did a blind test with me. They sounded pretty similar, and I guessed wrong! The salesman's point being that maybe I didn't need the Pro.

I love music. Sound system is a big consideration for me in my cars. I have 6 systems at home. I could totally hear the difference in the previous gen 7 series HK vs. B&W system. I admit that I was so psyched out thinking the Lucid system would be terrible based on the complaints. I was so relieved that it sounded "good enough", that I forgot about the test. I also forgot to use native Tidal, and streamed it. DOH! That's why I didn't hear any Atmos differences.

Now I wonder if the salesman was wrong? The salesman didn't seem to know I should use native Tidal. I seemed to get different information depending on who I talked to on other matters. Both salesmen were friendly, but they seemed more concerned with making sure I put in an order, instead of working to make the experience easier for me (I drove 5 hours to be there). Maybe they were both the same system? It seems hard to believe that I couldn't tell when 10 speakers and almost twice the power was added. Make it make sense!

Bring your own music on a USB stick. That way you can be sure of ATMOS encoded content. If you really are unsure if they are testing on a SSPro car, include the nonATMOS version as well.
