Can any current owners show pictures of the front logo trim with frunk open to see how easy it would be to remove for a color change please?

With the backlighting I would suspect you can remove it fairly easy to wrap or dip 🙏

Thank you. Does it look fairly straightforward to remove? I would guess clips.
Not sure. There is a trim piece that feels like it would pop off then you have access.

Might be able to find a pic of when @hmp10 has his radar installed and they dismantled the entire front end...

If removing anything on the front of the car, you might want to check with Lucid to see if you need to get the lidar recalibrated. I had to do so after the radar installation. My guess is that removing just that chrome trim piece will not necessitate recalibration if you don't have to remove anything else to remove the trim piece. But it's just my guess. I would definitely check with Lucid Service.

I just want to remove that LUCID logo trim piece so I can color change it without affecting the light behind it. I doubt it would affect anything, since it's minor, but I can check.

Did you go with the Escort Max CI? What did you do?

Can I ask the cost and thoughts? DM if you prefer.

No need to DM, as I've posted about this earlier on the forum. I had used Escort Passports for some years in our cars and been happy with them. However, when we got our new Tesla Model S Plaid last August there were no Passports available due to chip shortages. Two installers recommended Radenso, and one used the Radenso in his personal car. I looked into Radenso and found it to be highly recommended by several professional reviewers. The consensus was that the Passport had a slightly longer detection range, but the Radenso had better filtering algorithms for unwanted signals.

I liked several things about the Radenso. It had a unified control/display module instead of the separate modules of the Passport. It could be muted by hitting any of three prominent buttons rather than the difficult-to-find mute button for the Passport. After you slowed when receiving a laser hit, the Radenso jammer self-canceled at an interval set by the driver while the Passport required the driver to cancel the jammer.

I was so satisfied with the Radenso in the Plaid that I opted to use it in the Air even though Passports had again become available. The Radenso system is highly modular, so you can choose the level of protection for which you want to pay. The installation in the Plaid (front and rear radar antennas, front-only laser detection) was around $8,000. The installation in the Air (maximum sensors all around, as it will be our road trip car) was just over $10,000.

Does your Radensco get any laser alarms from the cars LIDAR? I have a Escort Max just installed, and the sensors in the front alarm when an object moves off the front corner--either oncoming or receding. I fear that with so many lidar sensors there isn't a way to avoid, although the rear do not give the false alarms. Love to hear your experience.

My Stinger (which is custom installed, to be fair) does not false alarm on the car’s lasers at all.

What’s funny is it *does* trigger on the MyQ opener (which uses laser to sense whether the door is open or closed).

Yes this one of mine is installed also, same group that did a Tesla for me in 2012. It must be the placement of the laser sensors in the front. Does yours have and if yes, where are they located? My install has them under the first fin, 1.5 inches in from the outside edge of the bumper.

Nope, no interference. I've been told that LIDAR sensors for ADAS systems use a different frequency than the police frequencies that laser detectors are programmed to pick up.

You can see pictures of the install here:
