I'm posting this in case it may help others if they are experiencing long vehicle wake up times when opening the Lucid App at home.

I had recently been experiencing long vehicle wake up times via the Lucid app when I am at home. I generally try to pre-heat my cabin so I'm cozy when going out but have been getting increasingly frustrated that it would always take a really long time to connect.
I came to the realization that the cause of this was my Wifi router and decided to test my hypothesis by comparing the app connection times via wifi and cellular data. Sure enough, cellular data always got the car ready within 5 seconds give or take whereas wifi would take 9+ seconds. Sometimes, it would take even 15+ seconds. Once I realized that, I configured my phone to force the Lucid app to ONLY use mobile data. Since then, the car has been waking up fast!

This is the video I followed to get this working on my Android: Galaxy S22/S22+/Ultra: How to Force Apps to Always Use Mobile Data
It basically forces the app to use your mobile data even if you're connected to a wifi network.

Note: This would only work if your Lucid gets good/decent cellular network reception.

In my experience the wake up times have improved significantly sine OTA 2.6.0.

Yep, wake up times are definitely improved and there’s a thread in here about some folks seeing more overnight phantom drain now - thinking the car is just staying “awake” more and using battery to do that … but I am not experiencing that.

This upgrade to 2.6 was my very first update since getting the car (delivered w/ 2.5.1) and it’s just so great to see improvements happen with OTAs. Even seeing how initial 2.6 seemed to have some bugs / there was a delay / then seeing some iterations 2.6.1, some 2.6.2 etc…. Nice to see Lucid reacting and able to still deliver what appears to be a solid upgrade.

I’m sure there’s some out there with bugs, there always are… we can find them here for sure… but for me, early in my Lucid journey the wake up time getting better was my initial and primary “want”.

Thanks Lucid - keep it going!
