Keeping outside mirrors unfolded

Is there a way to keep the outside mirror permanently unfolded. I have an issue with the passenger side mirror that is touching the PPF on the door. At least till this issue gets addressed, I can leave it unfolded for good. This clearance was small to begin with (compared to the driver side mirror). But I took this in to the service center and asked them to take a look (this was not the reason I was there to begin with). Unfortunately, this got worse and is now actually touching the PPF (indentation on PPF).
